About the role
The role represents a critical leadership position within the Global Tax organization at UiPath. The successful hire will own the full lifecycle of U.S. federal, state, and international corporate income tax compliance and strategy. They will serve as the primary technical expert for complex global tax rules impacting the business. This position requires a proactive partner who leverages deep technical knowledge to drive strategic business decisions. The hire will directly manage high-stakes tax controversy and audit matters with external stakeholders. Collaboration is central to the role, requiring constant engagement with Finance, Legal, and business leadership. Ultimately, this person will shape the evolution of UiPath's tax processes and controls in a fast-scaling environment.

What you'll do
- Manage the end-to-end global corporate income tax compliance process for U.S. federal, state, local, and foreign jurisdictions in partnership with external tax advisors.
- Review and analyze U.S. federal, state, and international income tax returns, information returns, workpapers, and all supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Oversee foreign corporate income tax compliance across multiple international jurisdictions ensuring timely and accurate local filing obligations are met.
- Provide deep technical expertise on evolving U.S. federal, state, and international corporate income tax rules including NCTI/GILTI, FDII, foreign tax credits, BEAT, and Pillar Two regulations.
- Monitor legislative, regulatory, and administrative developments across key jurisdictions and assess the impact on the Company's tax positions, operations, and compliance obligations.
- Research complex tax issues and prepare clear, technically rigorous analyses and memoranda to support the Company's tax positions and strategic choices.
- Develop, execute, and manage international tax planning initiatives that are aligned with the Company's business objectives and long-term global growth strategy.
- Advise on the tax implications of legal entity restructurings, intercompany transactions, financing arrangements, intellectual property licensing, cash repatriation strategies, and global operating models.
- Provide leadership on mergers and acquisitions, conducting due diligence, transaction structuring, post-acquisition integrations, internal reorganizations, and legal entity rationalization projects.
- Manage U.S. federal, state, and international tax audits and examinations, serving as the primary liaison with tax authorities and responding to formal information requests.
- Partner with external advisors to resolve tax controversies, defend Company tax positions, and manage disputes efficiently to successful conclusion.
- Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Legal, Treasury, HR, and business leaders to translate complex tax rules into practical guidance for strategic and operational initiatives.
- Lead initiatives that leverage AI, automation, analytics, and other technology-enabled solutions to improve tax processes, data quality, and internal controls.
- Manage relationships with external service providers while mentoring junior members of the Global Tax team and leading special projects and continuous improvement efforts.
- Own and maintain SOX-compliant tax processes and internal controls, partnering closely with Internal Audit, External Audit, and Finance to support quarterly and annual SOX testing, control remediation, and audit readiness.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- Possess eight or more years of progressive corporate income tax experience gained in public accounting and/or a multinational corporation.
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and international corporate income tax rules and principles.
- Bring experience managing U.S. and global corporate income tax compliance for a multinational organization operating across multiple jurisdictions.
- Show proven experience with international tax planning, cross-border transactions, tax controversy resolution, and corporate restructurings.
- Have experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, due diligence, post-acquisition integrations, or similar strategic transactions.
- Exhibit a demonstrated ability to manage and influence external advisors and collaborate effectively with cross-functional business partners.
- Possess excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and project management skills to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment.

- Have direct experience with a publicly traded multinational technology, software, or SaaS company.
- Bring experience supporting a global tax function across multiple jurisdictions and working with tax authorities in various countries.
- Have experience implementing and improving technology, automation, and data analytics within a tax function.
- Show a track record of mentoring and developing junior tax professionals in a collaborative setting.
- Understand the tax implications of AI and emerging technology within enterprise software businesses.
- Have experience with SEC reporting and disclosure requirements related to income taxes.
- Demonstrate knowledge of transfer pricing, country-by-country reporting, and other international tax compliance obligations.
