About the role
Uber Freight is seeking a Pricing Analyst to drive financial and operational growth within our Consolidation Solutions business, focusing on Partial Truckload (PTL), Shared Truckload, and LTL-to-TL conversions. In this role, you will analyze shipment profiles, engineer customer-specific pricing models, and identify network consolidation opportunities that deliver maximum shipper savings and optimal profitability. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial, Operations, Engineering, and Account Management teams to model transportation network scenarios and support seamless customer onboarding across our managed transportation and 4PL solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of freight economics and the ability to translate complex data into actionable pricing strategies that align with business objectives. The role is integral to enabling scalable pricing frameworks that enhance our value proposition in managed transportation services. You will own end-to-end analysis of pricing initiatives, ensuring that recommendations are both data-driven and commercially viable.

What you'll do
- Architect pricing models for Partial Truckload, Shared Truckload, and LTL-to-TL conversion offerings.
- Analyze detailed shipment profile data including weight, cube, linear feet, and density to construct accurate rate structures.
- Calculate financial impact by quantifying expected savings, margin contributions, and profitability for consolidation opportunities.
- Support recurring customer pricing reviews to ensure alignment with market conditions and performance targets.
- Identify and evaluate network consolidation strategies that enable efficient merging of multiple LTL shipments into higher-unit solutions.
- Analyze end-to-end network routing, pooling strategies, carrier capacity, and lane economics to inform pricing decisions.
- Assist in the development of business rules for routing guides and optimization engines used in network planning.
- Partner with Sales teams on Requests for Proposals to build compelling pricing proposals, business cases, and savings analyses.
- Validate pricing assumptions and benchmarking results during customer implementation phases.
- Present analytical findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders in a clear, professional manner.
- Construct and maintain performance dashboards that monitor key metrics such as cost per shipment, consolidation rate, savings realization, revenue, and NETR.
- Identify performance trends and root causes of variance to recommend continuous optimization measures.
- Collaborate with Engineering teams to translate business requirements into system configurations and rules.
- Work with Account Management to ensure pricing accuracy and consistency across customer portfolios.
- Support data integrity initiatives by validating inputs used in pricing calculations and modeling exercises.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Logistics, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Bring a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in transportation pricing, logistics analytics, supply chain engineering, or freight brokerage.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling techniques.
- Possess documented experience analyzing transportation costs, carrier pricing, and freight procurement strategies.
- Exhibit robust analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative reasoning capabilities in complex scenarios.
- Communicate effectively both in writing and verbally, with strong presentation abilities for diverse audiences.
- Perform duties in a hybrid work environment with a mix of on-site and remote work as defined by team agreements.
- Comply with company policies and procedures relevant to financial analysis and data governance.
- Be willing to travel occasionally for client meetings or cross-functional workshops as needed.
- Maintain eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship for this role.
- Commit to working a standard full-time schedule as outlined in company policy.
