In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing transportation and customs processes, ensuring that cargo is delivered with precision and efficiency. What you'll do

• Oversee and monitor the progress of cargo shipments and customs procedures to ensure timely delivery.
• Request and gather all necessary documentation to facilitate the customs clearance process effectively.
• Ensure adherence to non-tariff regulations by verifying tariff fractions, permits, and automatic notices.
• Communicate updates regarding shipment status, including any damages or discrepancies, directly to clients.
• Enter data for various types of pedimentos, covering maritime, air, rail, and ground transportation operations.
• Manage the processes for opening and closing consolidated pedimentos, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare shipments meticulously, ensuring that all documentation meets the requirements outlined in Annex 22.
• Maintain accurate databases and generate comprehensive reports to track customs operations and performance metrics.

Requirements

• 0-2 years of experience in the field of foreign trade or customs operations.
• A Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade, Logistics, or a related discipline is required.
• A solid understanding of customs regulations and foreign trade legislation is essential.
• Familiarity with pedimento entry systems and processes is necessary for success in this role.

Nice to have

• Basic proficiency in English to facilitate communication with international clients and partners.
• Experience with Office 365 applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, to enhance productivity.
• Previous exposure to logistics or supply chain management can be an advantage.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in handling customs documentation and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Knowledge of Annex 22 requirements and procedures related to customs clearance.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting purposes.
• Familiarity with logistics operations and their integration with customs processes.
