About the role
You will lead the Voice Media team at Twilio, owning the technical strategy and execution for the core media processing infrastructure that powers global Voice services. You will drive the architecture, design, and delivery of systems that process billions of media streams while enforcing industry-leading reliability, quality, and performance standards. Requirements
Demonstrate experience as an engineering manager leading teams that design, build, and operate large-scale, high-availability media or real-time communication systems.
Possess deep technical expertise in media processing, streaming protocols, and real-time communications technologies relevant to voice and video workloads.
Show a strong track record of delivering complex infrastructure systems that meet stringent reliability, scalability, and performance requirements.
Exhibit proficiency in system architecture, distributed systems concepts, and hands-on experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure automation.
Have proven ability to collaborate effectively with product, platform, and engineering teams in a cross-functional, remote-first environment.
Bring experience defining technical roadmaps, setting engineering standards, and establishing operational practices that ensure quality and reliability.
