You adhere strictly to the predefined routes and schedules, understanding that your consistency directly impacts the reliability of the final map. You are responsible for maintaining the highest level of safety while operating the vehicle and managing the integrated capture equipment during your shift. You communicate clearly with the project team regarding any anomalies or environmental factors that could affect the data quality. You contribute to the success of a leading online mapping platform by providing the visual evidence that helps billions of users navigate the world accurately.

What you'll do
Execute systematic street level surveys by driving designated routes through business districts and public areas in Nordhausen.
Conduct thorough visual inspections of streets and landmarks, documenting features and conditions using high definition capture equipment mounted on the vehicle.
Operate abnehmbare 360° Kameras and Lidar Systeme to capture comprehensive imagery and spatial data while adhering to strict safety protocols.
Ensure consistent image quality by revisiting specific zones under optimal weather conditions to eliminate shadows, glare, and other visual obstructions.
Upload captured data onto bordeigene Computer with SSD Laufwerke, performing on site checks to verify that all required information is stored securely.
Follow predefined project timelines that may require flexible scheduling within the range of 8:00 bis 19:00 Uhr to meet daily coverage targets.
Maintain the vehicle and capture systems in a state of readiness, reporting any technical issues that could impede the data collection process.
Collaborate with field teams across Europe and Nordamerika to align methodologies and maintain uniformity in the global dataset.
Participate in a Fahrprüfung zur Verkehrssicherheit, demonstrating your ability to drive safely while managing complex capture equipment during the assignment.
Engage in a structured Interview with a Recruiter to discuss your experience, reliability, and understanding of the project requirements before onboarding.
Requirements
You possess a valid driver's license appropriate for operating a vehicle in Germany and have a clean driving record that satisfies our safety standards.
You have the legal right to work in Germany and can provide the necessary documentation to prove your eligibility for employment.
You are at least 18 years old and demonstrate the maturity required to manage sensitive data and professional interactions.
You hold a secondary school diploma or equivalent qualification that confirms your ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
You have a proven track record of reliability, showing up on time and completing tasks consistently without direct supervision.
You are physically capable of entering and exiting the vehicle multiple times per shift and working in varying weather conditions.
You can follow detailed instructions in German or English and execute them accurately during your daily routes.
You have a strong sense of responsibility for data privacy and security, handling all captured information in accordance with company policies.
Nice to have
Experience with operating cameras or sensors in a professional or technical capacity.
Basic understanding of geographic information systems or mapping concepts.
Familiarity with the Nordhausen region and surrounding areas to minimize orientation time.
Practical notes
This is a full time contractual role with regular working hours between 8:00 and 19:00 Uhr.
The project duration in your area typically spans 3 to 6 months of active data collection.
Applicants must successfully complete a Fahrprüfung zur Verkehrssicherheit, a recruiter interview, and a subsequent onboarding process before starting work.
Travel and accommodation arrangements will be discussed during the recruitment phase for candidates who are not currently located in Nordhausen.
