Conductor / Recolector de datos en Huesca, España
Job description
About the role
In this role, you will serve as the primary visual acquisition operator for a project that relies on manual data gathering in areas where automation is not viable. You will be responsible for executing assigned driving routes to capture detailed imagery of streets, commercial districts, and public points of interest using specialized equipment. Your work will involve operating a vehicle equipped with removable 360-degree cameras and LiDAR sensors to ensure comprehensive environmental coverage. You will handle the entire capture workflow from the moment you start the vehicle until the secure storage of material on board storage devices. This position requires a high level of personal responsibility to ensure that every detail is recorded accurately for analysis. You will directly contribute to building a foundational visual dataset that supports critical decision-making for global mapping platforms. The success of the project depends on your ability to maintain consistent quality over extended field periods under varying conditions.

Ensure the integrity of captured material by reviewing daily folders to verify image clarity, correct file paths, and complete data sets before transmission.
Store all collected visual data securely on board solid state drives, managing physical inventory and safeguarding devices against damage or loss.
Coordinate with routing specialists and field teams to adjust paths dynamically, ensuring optimal area coverage while respecting weather and safety constraints.
Ship validated datasets to the central processing platform during standard business hours, facilitating the smooth flow of information to analysis teams.
Collaborate with onboard systems to capture metadata related to time, location, and environmental conditions for each segment of the route.
Maintain the vehicle and equipment in a state of readiness, conducting pre and post shift checks to ensure operational reliability throughout long shifts.
Support the long term objectives of the project by committing to a sustained presence in the field, understanding that continuity is essential for dataset completeness.
Adapt to changing urban conditions, traffic patterns, and municipal regulations to ensure that data collection proceeds without interruption or delay.
Act as the on site representative of the Terry Soot Management Group, upholding the standards and reputation of the organization in every interaction.
Utilize navigation tools and mapping software to follow precise routes while simultaneously monitoring road conditions and potential hazards.
Participate in the selection of optimal recording parameters to accommodate different lighting, weather, and architectural scenarios across the region.
