About the role

You are the eyes and ears of our data collection network in Northern Spain, operating specialized equipment that captures the world in high definition. This role places the responsibility of safeguarding expensive hardware directly in your hands as you navigate diverse urban and rural environments. You will serve as the primary liaison between the physical street and our digital mapping systems, ensuring every pixel of data is captured accurately. Your daily work will involve a high degree of autonomy and personal accountability for the success of each collection route. We rely on your commitment to precision and your ability to adapt when faced with unpredictable real world conditions. This position represents a critical frontline function in building a comprehensive and accurate map of the European Union. Your observations and careful execution directly contribute to the quality of the dataset that powers advanced navigation and location services. Success in this role is measured by the completeness, clarity, and accuracy of the visual and spatial data you deliver on schedule.

What you'll do

Execute assigned driving routes with precision, ensuring comprehensive coverage of streets, commercial zones, and points of interest within the designated territory.

Operate removable 360-degree cameras and LiDAR sensors mounted on company vehicles to capture high quality panoramic imagery and spatial data.

Conduct secondary passes over designated areas when weather conditions permit to guarantee image clarity and meet strict quality standards.

Monitor on board computer systems and Solid State Drives (SSDs) to verify that all data captures are recorded, stored, and protected during transit.

Maintain constant awareness of road safety and traffic regulations to protect yourself, the public, and the sensitive equipment in all driving scenarios.

Document environmental factors and physical obstacles that may impact the capture process, providing clear context for the data team.

Coordinate your schedule with back office support to manage route changes, address data gaps, and optimize collection efficiency.

Adhere strictly to the allocated timeframes of the project, recognizing that assignments typically span three to six months of active field work.

Respect the privacy and security of the locations you visit by following company protocols regarding the handling and transmission of captured material.

Participate actively in the selection process, which includes a safe driving test, a recruiter interview, and a formal onboarding session.

Utilize standard office hours between 8:00 and 19:00 to maintain synchronization with team schedules and logistical planning.

Ensure that all visual documentation reflects the current state of public spaces accurately, supporting the creation of reliable digital maps for end users.

Collaborate with the team to resolve any discrepancies in the captured data, contributing to the overall integrity of the project deliverables.

Approach each assignment with a problem solving mindset to overcome challenges related to weather, traffic, and access restrictions in a professional manner.

Requirements

You must possess a valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle you will be operating in Spain.

You must be authorized to work legally within Spain without requiring company sponsorship for your residency or work status.

You must be at least 18 years of age to operate company equipment and enter into the terms of the employment contract.

You must have a clean driving record with no recent major violations that would indicate unsafe driving habits.

You must be physically capable of entering and exiting the vehicle repeatedly to conduct equipment checks and route inspections.

You must have access to a reliable mode of transportation to attend the interview and onboarding sessions in person.

You must be available to work full time during the standard business hours of 8:00 to 19:00 as required for this field role.

You must demonstrate strong attention to detail to ensure that captured imagery meets the strict quality criteria set by the project.

Nice to have

Experience operating dashboard or external mounted cameras in a professional or volunteer capacity.

Prior familiarity with LiDAR technology or 360-degree imaging systems.

Basic understanding of geographic information systems or digital mapping concepts.

A history of reliable employment with consistent attendance and punctuality.

Comfort working independently in varied weather conditions and urban or rural settings.

This engagement requires a full time commitment during standard office hours from 8:00 to 19:00.
