About the role

You are a meticulous field operative responsible for the physical collection of visual and spatial data that cannot be obtained through remote methods. You own the safe operation of a dedicated data collection vehicle along pre-defined municipal routes in and around Don Benito. You are the primary guardian of the camera rigs and LiDAR sensors, ensuring that every capture meets the strict quality standards defined for this project. You own the integrity of the documentation process, translating street-level reality into high-fidelity digital assets for a major mapping initiative. You collaborate directly with project management to report environmental conditions that could impact data collection or vehicle safety. You are accountable for the secure transfer of storage media from the field to secure processing locations as required by protocol. You represent the professional standards of Tsmg every time you step into the vehicle and engage with the public spaces of Don Benito. What you'll do

Operate a specialized data collection vehicle equipped with removable 360-degree cameras and LiDAR sensors to capture comprehensive environmental imagery. Navigate predetermined municipal routes, focusing on public streets, commercial zones, and points of interest as assigned by the routing system. Capture high-resolution photographic documentation of urban landscapes, infrastructure, and street-level details during scheduled passes. Record video sequences that showcase the flow of public life and the condition of thoroughfares under normal operating conditions. Perform on-site scanning of areas using LiDAR equipment to generate precise spatial maps and depth information for analysis. Record voice notes and verbal observations regarding traffic patterns, obstacles, or anomalies that standard imagery might miss. Monitor the operational status of onboard SSD storage units, ensuring that data integrity is maintained throughout the daily collection cycle. Coordinate with the logistics team to schedule vehicle maintenance and to adjust routes based on weather or unforeseen access issues. Conduct additional revisits to specific locations when weather conditions are favorable to ensure optimal image clarity and data accuracy. Maintain a strict adherence to the standard working schedule of 8:00 to 19:00, dedicating full working hours to the successful completion of data collection tasks.

Requirements

You possess a valid driver's license appropriate for operating the data collection vehicle in Spain and have a clean driving record with no major violations in the recent past. You hold the minimum age required by Spanish labor law to sign a contract and operate commercial vehicles on public roads. You have the legal right to reside and work in Spain without requiring additional permits during the contract period. You are physically capable of entering and exiting the vehicle multiple times per hour and performing basic checks such as lifting equipment cases and connecting cables. You have a strong command of Spanish for communication with local authorities, stakeholders, and team members during field operations. You demonstrate a proven ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to precise routing schedules without deviation. You exhibit strong situational awareness, ensuring your safety and the safety of others while navigating urban environments. You are reliable and punctual, treating every scheduled shift as essential to maintaining the continuity of the project timeline.

Practical notes

The engagement is a full-time contract position based in Don Benito, Spain, requiring adherence to the standard working hours of 8:00 to 19:00. Travel is limited to the designated municipal zones within Don Benito and surrounding areas as assigned by the routing software, eliminating the need for long-distance commuting or overnight stays. This project does not require international travel, and a visa is not necessary for candidates who hold the appropriate right to work in Spain. The duration of the active data collection phase is expected to span between three and six months, depending on the completion of route coverage and data validation milestones. Onboarding processes, including the secure handling of equipment and data confidentiality agreements, will be conducted formally before the start of independent fieldwork.
