About the role
This position operates as a senior technical network role within the Information Technology team at Triumvirate Environmental. The hire will own the delivery of enterprise network management and evolution initiatives that directly support regulatory compliance, system performance, and scalable infrastructure. They will serve as a subject matter expert responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of complex network environments. Success in this role requires a proactive approach to monitoring, troubleshooting, and strategic planning to meet business objectives. The individual in this position must demonstrate strong collaboration skills to work effectively with security, operations, and technical support teams. They will be expected to maintain clear and structured communication in all documentation and verbal exchanges. Ultimately, this role owns the stability and security of the network infrastructure that enables the company's mission-critical environmental services.
Key facts
What you'll do
Monitor network health, performance, and compliance through analytics and reporting tools to ensure adherence to industry security standards and operational requirements.
Provide subject matter expertise for VMware and enterprise storage (SAN) environments covering configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization to support virtualized workloads and data integrity.
Operate as the senior authority for Microsoft 365 and its related platforms, handling administration and issue resolution to maintain user productivity and security.
Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions to meet organizational requirements for scalability, performance, and reliability.
Support the change management process through the creation of clear documentation and communication of all changes to minimize service disruption and ensure stakeholder awareness.
Deliver senior technical escalation for the help desk team and mentor junior IT team members to build capability and ensure knowledge continuity.
Collaborate with security and IT operations teams to strengthen infrastructure reliability, performance, and security posture through shared insights and coordinated responses.
Perform deep analysis of network traffic and system logs to identify anomalies, performance bottlenecks, and potential security threats.
Implement and manage network security technologies and controls to protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of corporate information assets.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, procedures, and architectures to support audit requirements and operational continuity.
Evaluate emerging technologies and industry best practices to recommend improvements that align with strategic business goals.
Participate in on-call rotations and provide timely response to network incidents impacting business operations.
Requirements
A minimum of 5+ years of IT experience is required, with 3 or more years in enterprise network administration in multi-site environments to ensure appropriate operational maturity.
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills are necessary for effective coordination with technical and business stakeholders.
Deep expertise in LAN/WAN, wireless networking, and network security technologies is required, with Fortinet, Aruba, and Ubiquiti experience preferred to accelerate implementation and support.
Experience with VMware and on-premises infrastructure environments is required to manage virtualization and storage responsibilities.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous learning are required to keep pace with evolving technologies and regulatory expectations.
Industry certifications such as Fortinet, Microsoft, Cisco, and VMware are preferred to validate technical proficiency and support career development.
Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship is required for compliance and hiring eligibility.
Reliable transportation is required to support onsite activities during the initial 90-day period and ongoing hybrid expectations.
