As a Lineforeperson at Bamboohr, you will play a role in overseeing the daily operations of our production line. What you'll do
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production line workers to ensure optimal performance and adherence to production schedules.
- Train new employees on operational procedures, safety standards, and quality control measures to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Monitor production processes and equipment to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to maintain product standards and address any quality issues that arise during production.
- Conduct regular inspections of the production line to ensure equipment is functioning properly and that safety protocols are being followed.
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics, including output levels, downtime, and employee performance, for reporting purposes.
- Facilitate communication between different departments to ensure a smooth workflow and address any operational challenges.
- Lead team meetings to discuss production goals, share updates, and motivate staff to achieve targets.
- Implement and promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste in the production process.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, conducting safety training sessions and drills as needed.
- Assist in the development of production schedules and allocate resources effectively to meet demand.
- Participate in performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members to foster their professional growth.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of production processes and quality control principles.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse workforce.
- Proficient in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members and management.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, as needed to meet production demands.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in reporting and compliance.
Nice to have
- Experience in the food production industry is a plus.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Certification in safety management or quality assurance.
- Bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish, to enhance communication with a diverse workforce.
