What you'll do

• Collaborate with software developers, system operators, and other IT staff to manage code releases and deployments, ensuring seamless integration into production environments.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, building, and deployment processes, enhancing the overall efficiency of our development workflow.
• Monitor system performance and reliability, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and maintain optimal service levels.
• Manage cloud infrastructure and services, optimizing resource allocation and cost management while ensuring high availability and security.
• Develop and maintain configuration management solutions to automate system provisioning and application deployment across various environments.
• Implement and manage containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, to facilitate microservices architecture and improve application scalability.
• Collaborate with security teams to enforce best practices in security and compliance, ensuring that our systems are protected against vulnerabilities and threats.
• Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning, providing recommendations for improvements to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures to support knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for production systems, responding to incidents and outages in a timely manner.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development, staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the team.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team, mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team growth and development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a DevOps or similar role, with a strong understanding of software development and deployment processes.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby, with the ability to automate repetitive tasks effectively.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including knowledge of services like EC2, S3, and RDS.
• Familiarity with container orchestration tools, particularly Kubernetes, and experience with Docker for containerization.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI, with hands-on experience in implementing and managing pipelines.
• Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet, with the ability to automate system provisioning and configuration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues in complex systems.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack, with the ability to analyze system performance metrics.

Nice to have

• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, enabling automated infrastructure management.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including DNS, TCP/IP, and load balancing, to enhance system architecture.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development teams.
• Understanding of database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases, with the ability to optimize database performance.
• Previous experience in a startup environment, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to take on diverse responsibilities.
