What you'll do

Lead the design and implementation of advanced Android applications, ensuring they are user-friendly and efficient.
Collaborate with product managers and designers to define application features and user interfaces that align with business goals.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to industry best practices and coding standards.
Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and share knowledge with team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability, addressing performance bottlenecks as they arise.
Troubleshoot and debug applications, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner to maintain a user experience.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Android development, integrating new tools and practices into the development process.
Mentor junior developers, providing guidance and support to help them grow their skills and advance their careers.
Participate in Agile development processes, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure smooth data flow between the app and server.
Document development processes, code changes, and application features to maintain clear communication within the team.
Engage with users to gather feedback and insights, using this information to inform future development and enhancements.

Requirements

A minimum of 5 years of experience in Android development, with a strong portfolio of applications published on the Google Play Store.
Proficiency in Kotlin and Java, with a solid understanding of Android SDK and Android Studio.
Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries, demonstrating the ability to integrate external services into applications.
Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git, and experience working in collaborative environments.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Nice to have

Experience with modern architectural patterns such as MVVM or MVP, and familiarity with Jetpack components.
Knowledge of mobile UI/UX design principles and best practices, with a keen eye for detail.
Familiarity with testing frameworks and methodologies, including unit testing and UI testing.
Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes, enhancing the development workflow.
Understanding of cloud services and mobile app analytics tools to drive data-informed decisions.
