About the role
In this role, you will take charge of the entire lifecycle of commercial projects within the DACH region. You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and launching new sales channels while building strategic partnerships and implementing robust loyalty programs that drive long-term engagement. You will report directly to the Head of Strategy and Business Operations DACH, acting as a central hub for coordination and ensuring that all project activities flow seamlessly across sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams. Your work will involve translating high-level strategic goals into actionable plans that are executed with precision and aligned with regional market demands. You will be expected to own the end-to-end process, from initial ideation and validation through to implementation and handover. Success in this position will depend on your ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously without losing focus on delivery quality. What you'll do
- Lead local commercial initiatives in DACH from initial concept through to execution and handover to operational teams, ensuring full coverage of all project phases.
- Build detailed business cases that include ROI calculations, volume forecasts, and margin analyses to support data-driven decision making.
- Own and manage the commercial project pipeline, prioritizing initiatives based on strategic impact and potential return.
- Implement stage-gate processes to provide clear oversight and control across all project milestones.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to maintain transparency and alignment between sales, marketing, finance, operations, and external partners.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends and consumer behavior to uncover opportunities for new commercial projects.
- Work closely with marketing teams to ensure project goals are consistent with brand messaging and the broader company strategy.
- Track project performance using key metrics and adjust plans as needed to meet objectives and strict deadlines.
- Develop reusable templates and playbooks that turn one-off solutions into standardized, scalable processes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, ensuring that expectations are managed and deliverables are met.
- Identify risks early in the project lifecycle and propose mitigation strategies to avoid delays or cost overruns.
- Support the testing and validation of new concepts in real-world settings before wider rollout.
- Document learnings and best practices to enable continuous improvement across the DACH region.
- Contribute to strategic discussions around growth levers and profitability optimization in the local market.
Requirements
- Bring a minimum of 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in commercial project management, business development, or strategy operations.
- Demonstrate a strong background in sectors such as consumer goods, e-commerce, or fast-paced scale-up environments.
- Show proven capability in constructing business cases and performing ROI analysis to back project proposals.
- Highlight a track record of managing complex projects autonomously while effectively prioritizing tasks in a fast-moving setting.
- Communicate fluently in both German and English to ensure smooth collaboration with diverse teams.
- Exhibit strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills throughout the project lifecycle.
