Sr. Data Analyst
Job description
About the role
Senior Data Analyst
Thunkable is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join the Data & Analytics team. The role focuses on connecting analytics with data infrastructure. You will analyze information and also organize inputs from several sources into a unified view. The goal is practical guidance that helps the business move faster and decide with more confidence. You will work with engineering and other teams to clarify facts about the market, customers, and product.
Key responsibilities include working with engineers to add, check, and maintain event tracking inside React-based interfaces. You will improve data reliability by finding and fixing tracking problems that affect integrity. You will partner with different teams to collect requirements and turn them into scalable data structures and process changes. These changes should support integration, automation, and smoother data movement across systems. Documentation of data architecture, main parts, and data flows is part of the role to keep things clear.
You will collaborate across teams to query data from Amplitude and other SQL and NoSQL systems in the current ecosystem. Analysis will cover products and marketing, using funnels, cohort reviews, and user segmentation to find actionable ideas. You will develop and watch key metrics, including dashboards and recurring reports. Leading data initiatives and experiments is also required, including defining how to measure success and reviewing outcomes.
Required qualifications start with a BA or BS degree or similar experience in a related field. You should have three or more years in data science, data analytics, or other quantitative roles. There must be a record of delivering analytics projects successfully. Experience building and maintaining data pipelines across multiple systems is necessary. Examples include work with Amplitude, Google Ads, Meta Ads, payment processors, and CRM tools.
Experience with event tracking instrumentation and working with engineering teams to validate and keep analytics implementations is required. Handling real-time and historical data from the ground up is expected, covering cleaning, processing, analysis, modeling, and strategy execution. You must write data queries and use statistical programming tools such as SQL, R, or Python.
Experience with product and marketing analytics and digital optimization tools like Amplitude and Google Analytics is necessary. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail are required. You must be a good communicator and explain complex analysis using visualization and storytelling for both technical and non-technical audiences. Self-starting behavior in a startup setting and strong follow-through are essential.
Preferred qualifications include experience improving data pipelines, storage, and analytical frameworks over time. Event tracking methods such as Javascript and Google Tag Manager are relevant. Familiarity with Javascript and React development practices that affect data behavior in interfaces is a plus.
Responsibilities in this role include designing intake workflows that unite product analytics, marketing platforms, payments, and user systems into one coherent view. You will set tracking standards in React interfaces so events stay consistent, documented, and ready for analysis. Organizing requirements from marketing, product, and finance into scalable data structures that support automation is part of the work.
You will craft data architecture diagrams and flow descriptions to clarify components for engineers and stakeholders. Querying user behavior in Amplitude and exploring relationships in SQL stores will reveal patterns behind outcomes. Shaping funnels, cohort views, and segments will expose where users struggle or convert so teams can act. Owning metric definitions, configuring recurring reports, and maintaining dashboards that track health over time are key tasks. You will define experiments, select success measures, and assess results to guide future tests and roadmap choices. Collaboration with engineering partners to validate implementations and resolve tracking gaps is required. Guiding partners to align data practices with goals ensures reliable insights as systems grow.
Education and experience requirements include a BA or BS credential or similar experience, with three or more years delivering analytics in professional settings. You have built and maintained data pipelines that connect Amplitude, Google Ads, Meta Ads, payment processors, and CRM tools. Understanding event tracking instrumentation and working with engineering teams to verify and sustain analytics setups is part of the role.
You handle real-time and historical data streams, performing cleaning, processing, analysis, modeling, and strategy execution. Writing data queries and applying statistical tools such as SQL, R, or Python supports your findings. Using product and marketing analytics platforms like Amplitude and Google Analytics to explore digital performance is required. Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail in every step of your work are necessary. Clear communication using visualization and narrative to explain complex findings to diverse audiences is required. Operating effectively as a self-starter in a startup context with strong ownership and follow-through is essential.
