About the role
THG is on the lookout for a Business Intelligence Analyst to bolster the reporting functions within our Nutrition division. This role is pivotal within the Reporting & BI team, where you will focus on the creation and upkeep of our Tableau reporting suite. As part of this position, you will collaborate closely with data analysts and team leaders to ensure our dashboards are precise and adapt to the dynamic needs of the organization.

What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain the Tableau reporting suite tailored for the Nutrition division, encompassing a variety of performance metrics and operational key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Guarantee that all dashboards are accurate, thoroughly documented, and comply with the standards set forth by the Reporting Lead.
- Address requests for new or modified dashboards by collaborating with stakeholders to effectively translate their requirements into actionable reporting solutions.
- Proactively manage existing dashboards, resolving any issues that may arise from alterations in the underlying data.
- Operate within the reporting framework established by the Reporting Lead, ensuring uniformity in metrics and design across all dashboards related to Nutrition.
- Work in tandem with the Beauty BI Analyst to maintain consistency in reporting metrics across both divisions.
- Utilize SQL and BigQuery to establish connections between Tableau and relevant data sources, crafting and maintaining necessary queries.
- Assist in the migration of Tableau reports from on-premise data sources to BigQuery as the transition progresses.
- Collaborate with the Nutrition Data & Insight team to ensure that dashboards fulfill their analytical needs and manage expectations regarding update timelines.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in Tableau, with the capability to independently construct and maintain dashboards, including the creation of calculated fields and optimization for performance.
- Proficient in SQL for the extraction and transformation of data for use in Tableau.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy of data presented in all dashboards.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to comprehend stakeholder needs and translate them into effective reporting solutions.
- Highly organized and reliable, with a commitment to consistent dashboard maintenance and responsiveness to requests.
Nice to have
- Experience with Looker or other business intelligence tools in addition to Tableau.
- Familiarity with BigQuery or similar cloud-based data platforms.
- Understanding of e-commerce or metrics related to sports nutrition and wellness.
- Experience in administering Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud.
