What you'll do
- Lead and manage all phases of construction projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking progress and making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Coordinate daily activities of subcontractors and laborers, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety standards, addressing any issues that arise promptly.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop project budgets and ensure financial accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate effective communication among team members, clients, and subcontractors to ensure alignment on project goals and expectations.
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports to management, highlighting key milestones and any potential risks to project timelines.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols on-site, fostering a culture of safety and compliance among all team members.
- Resolve conflicts and challenges that may arise during the construction process, utilizing problem-solving skills to maintain project momentum.
- Ensure that all necessary permits and inspections are obtained in a timely manner, adhering to local regulations and industry standards.
- Mentor and train junior staff and subcontractors, promoting professional development and best practices within the team.
- Participate in project meetings, providing insights and updates on project status, challenges, and resource needs.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or a related field, with a proven track record of overseeing successful projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials, as well as relevant safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams effectively.
- Proficient in project management software and tools, with a solid understanding of scheduling and budgeting practices.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to various stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with sustainable building practices and green construction methods.
- Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other advanced construction technologies.
- Certification from a recognized professional organization, such as the Project Management Professional (PMP) or Associate Constructor (AC).
Skills & tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, or similar).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations specific to the Muskogee, Oklahoma area.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.

- This position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
