Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management within the construction industry.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar safety certification is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards applicable to construction projects.
- Proven experience in conducting safety training and developing safety programs.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey safety information to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including project managers, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Proficient in using safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Nice to have
- Experience with environmental safety and health regulations in addition to construction safety.
- Familiarity with incident investigation techniques and root cause analysis methodologies.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a safety team.
- Bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish, are a plus.
