What you'll do

• Lead and manage the MEP aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop comprehensive project plans and schedules.
• Supervise MEP subcontractors and ensure that all work is performed in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work, addressing any issues promptly to maintain project momentum.
• Review and approve MEP shop drawings, submittals, and change orders, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
• Coordinate with local authorities and utility companies to secure necessary permits and inspections for MEP installations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, fostering a culture of safety and quality on site.
• Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including daily reports, meeting minutes, and progress updates for stakeholders.
• Manage project budgets and financials related to MEP systems, tracking expenses and forecasting future costs.
• Mentor and train junior staff and subcontractors, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment for all team members.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in MEP project management or supervision within the construction industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects with MEP components.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, as well as relevant codes and standards.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) accreditation.
• Experience with sustainable building practices and energy-efficient systems.
• Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and its application in MEP design and coordination.
• Previous experience in a supervisory role within a general contracting firm.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations specific to Oklahoma.
