Media Sales Specialist
Job description
About the role
You own the end to end sales process for media and broadcast customers, guiding them from initial discovery through to signed contracts and expansion. You translate the technical capabilities of the Terrific Live platform into a compelling commercial narrative that speaks directly to media executives and their revenue goals. You diagnose specific monetization gaps and position live, shoppable content as a new revenue layer rather than a feature upgrade. You build and own a qualified pipeline of broadcasters, publishers, and streaming platforms across key regions. You navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, aligning content, commercial, product, and executive teams around a shared business outcome. You are accountable for closing multi-year platform and monetization partnerships that drive recurring revenue growth. You work closely with Customer Success to ensure new clients achieve their revenue targets, creating expansion opportunities over time. You act as the primary commercial owner for the media vertical, responsible for the revenue performance of your book of business.
Key facts
What you'll do
Identify media companies that can leverage shoppable content and first-party commerce to unlock new revenue streams.
Convert broadcasters, publishers, and streaming platforms into paying clients by articulating a clear return on investment.
Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified media opportunities across Latin America, Europe, and Israel.
Diagnose how media companies monetize today and map where Terrific creates incremental, attributable revenue.
Translate complex platform capabilities into a simple commercial story that resonates with C level media executives.
Lead high quality discovery and demo conversations focused on business outcomes, not product feature lists.
Navigate intricate stakeholder environments involving content, digital, commercial, product, and executive decision makers.
Close multi year platform, content, or monetization partnerships that generate predictable recurring revenue.
Expand initial deals into broader partnerships across properties, formats, and geographic regions.
Work cross functionally with Customer Success and Product to ensure delivered revenue outcomes are achieved and sustained.
Identify and qualify upsell opportunities tied to performance, scale, and new use cases on the platform.
Own the full sales cycle from first conversation through contract signing and expansion within the media vertical.
Develop a deep market understanding of editorial commerce and content driven revenue models in digital media.
Position Terrific as a strategic growth partner rather than a technology vendor for broadcasters and publishers.
Requirements
You have proven experience selling into broadcasters, publishers, or streaming platforms in a media or entertainment context.
You maintain a strong network within media organizations, engaging with commercial, digital, and executive stakeholders.
You possess a deep understanding of digital monetization, subscription models, and content driven revenue streams.
You have a track record of closing complex, multi stakeholder deals, preferably structured as multi year partnerships.
You can translate product capabilities into clear business and revenue outcomes that executives understand and value.
You demonstrate high commercial ownership, thinking in terms of revenue, pipeline, and profitability rather than mere activity.
You are comfortable operating in ambiguity and building sales structures and processes where they do not yet exist.
You are a clear, confident communicator who can hold a room and command attention from senior media executives.
You are based in or able to work from Nevada, as the role is listed with a Nevada location.
You are available to work on a contract basis, engaging with opportunities as a contracted specialist.
Nice to have
Experience working with live streaming, shoppable video, or social commerce platforms in a sales capacity.
A background in media, broadcasting, or entertainment industries where you understand editorial and commercial constraints.
Familiarity with first party data strategies and how they can be monetized within media environments.
An understanding of how broadcasters and media groups manage regional and local advertising sales operations.
Experience selling technology solutions into highly regulated or compliance sensitive media environments.
Practical notes
The engagement is structured as a contract with a Nevada based work location.
There may be significant travel required across Latin America, Europe, and Israel to engage with media partners.
Visa requirements for international travel may apply depending on the specific market and duration of engagements.
The successful candidate is expected to close their first media deal within approximately 30 to 60 days.
You are expected to build a pipeline of high quality broadcaster opportunities quickly and sustain a robust forecast.
Deals are expected to generate meaningful revenue, with a target performance of 3 to 5 times cost within approximately six months.
Media partners are expected to expand over time, adding more properties, formats, and revenue streams as the relationship matures.
Success in this role depends on your ability to operate autonomously with minimal supervision while maintaining strict ownership of revenue outcomes.
This role reports to senior leadership and requires a proactive, self directed approach to managing a distributed sales portfolio.
You must be comfortable presenting to large groups and one on one with executive sponsors in high stakes commercial discussions.
The role is positioned within a fast growing product to revenue organization where speed, clarity, and impact are highly valued.
If you are motivated by building a new revenue channel from scratch and want to work with leading global media companies, this is the opportunity for you.
