About the role

You own the operational readiness and ongoing performance of charging infrastructure programs from initial site selection through steady state operations. You coordinate cross functional stakeholders to ensure projects meet technical, regulatory, and commercial targets on demanding timelines. You translate portfolio strategy into executable site specific plans while managing risks, budgets, and vendor relationships. You drive continuous improvement across facilities and processes to support rapid scaling of reliable charging solutions. You serve as the primary point of contact for operations related queries and escalate complex issues as required. You maintain detailed records, track key performance indicators, and communicate status clearly to internal partners. You ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental rules, and internal policies across the charging network. You contribute to a culture of execution that is humble, urgent, and focused on customer delight.

What you'll do

Coordinate site selection activities, validate suitability criteria, and manage the documentation required for new charging locations.

Develop detailed operational plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and milestones to align construction and commissioning activities.

Lead the preparation of budget forecasts, cost tracking, and variance analysis to maintain financial discipline across site programs.

Interface with engineering and technical teams to review design packages, ensure constructability, and resolve emerging issues.

Manage relationships with vendors and contractors, overseeing procurement, scheduling, and performance against service level expectations.

Implement monitoring processes for construction progress, verify adherence to specifications, and coordinate pre operational acceptance checks.

Maintain compliance with local regulations, permitting requirements, and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Analyze operational metrics, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability and efficiency.

Prepare concise status reports, facilitate cross functional meetings, and document decisions, dependencies, and risks.

Support the development of standard operating procedures and best practices to streamline facility management and customer experience.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce downtime, enhance maintenance processes, and optimize resource utilization.

Collaborate with internal teams to resolve escalated issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations.

Oversee documentation, configuration control, and knowledge management activities related to site infrastructure and systems.

Champion a culture of safety, quality, and accountability across the distributed charging network and operations teams.

Requirements

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for this position.

You must possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.

You bring a proven track record of operations, program management, or project leadership in a complex environment.

You have direct experience managing budgets, financial tracking, and cost control for operational programs.

You are comfortable working with technical and engineering information, interpreting drawings, and understanding system requirements.

You demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information to diverse audiences.

You show proficiency in using productivity software, including spreadsheets, presentations, and collaboration tools.

You are able to manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment, and make decisions in a fast paced environment.

Nice to have

Experience in the electric vehicle charging, energy, transportation, or logistics sectors is preferred.

Familiarity with fleet operations, autonomous vehicle concepts, or logistics networks adds additional context.

Knowledge of permitting processes, utility coordination, and regulatory frameworks relevant to charging infrastructure is valued.

Experience with asset management, maintenance processes, or facilities software supports ongoing operational responsibilities.

Understanding of data driven decision making and key performance indicators enhances effectiveness in reporting and optimization.

Practical notes

This is a full time position based in the San Francisco office.

Travel is not currently expected for this role.
