About the role
This position defines and owns the foundational developer experience for a RISC-V AI compute platform. Success in this role is measured by developer trust, adoption, and satisfaction across the entire workflow. The hire will act as the central point of ownership for the end-to-end platform experience, ensuring coherence from installation to execution. They will synthesize complex technical constraints into simple, reliable commands and interfaces for developers. This role requires deep collaboration with firmware, drivers, and runtime teams to align on a unified vision. The product manager will be the primary voice for the terminal and command-line experience within the organization. They will balance the needs of open source contributors with enterprise customer demands. Ultimately, this role shapes how developers perceive the efficiency and power of the underlying silicon.

What you'll do
Own the definition and execution of the unified Tenstorrent CLI, managing the entire command surface, installation, packaging, versioning, deprecation policy, telemetry, and coexistence with existing tools.
Provide crisp priorities and clear direction for highly technical engineering teams, establishing clear success metrics and enabling rapid iterative shipping to validate hypotheses.
Act as a partner for engineering, DevRel, and customer teams, treating every blocked developer as the highest priority and resolving platform friction swiftly.
Be developer-focused by dogfooding the platform exactly as a customer would, judging output by whether developers reach real work fast and encounter minimal friction.
Cultivate a bias for action, finding creative solutions and shipping functional outcomes when the path is ambiguous rather than waiting for perfect information or exhaustive documentation.
Live in the terminal with strong opinions on installers, updates, versioning, error messages, and workflows to build and maintain developer trust over time.
Gather customer feedback directly from the community and translate it into concrete requirements and roadmap adjustments for the platform team.
Ensure the platform foundations support the RISC-V AI compute ecosystem, enabling open, affordable hardware approaches that influence developer adoption and customization.
Maintain cross-functional alignment to ensure shipped platform features solve real-world development problems and improve the end-to-end user journey.
Define and measure success metrics for developer trust, adoption, and satisfaction to guide data-driven decisions and continuous improvement.
