The Product Operations Associate will take ownership of day-to-day product operations, working closely alongside Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to keep everything running smoothly. This is a high-ownership position where your contributions will directly shape the customer experience and product direction. You will help build and grow a product support team while shaping how the product evolves across a diverse and expanding customer base.

What you'll do
- Own daily product operations, assign tasks, and track outstanding items to ensure nothing gets missed during the workday.
- Train and coach a growing team, answering first-pass questions and maintaining quality standards as product volume increases steadily.
- Help customers scale their use of the product by analyzing codes, payers, and data across dashboards and spreadsheets.
- Identify gaps in what Tennr currently captures and build the case for pursuing new opportunities in the market.
- Convert customer feedback and data into product roadmap items, file engineering tickets, and set priorities for the team.
- Get hands-on with detailed operational work yourself when needed, with no task considered too small or beneath the role.
- Build and maintain documentation that captures how processes actually work so they can scale beyond any single person.
- Collaborate with Sales, Business Operations, and Customer Experience teams to create product enablement materials and support resources.
- Interface directly with customers over time to gather insights and implement their feedback into product improvements.
- Iterate on product support playbooks and materials to improve team efficiency and deliver better customer outcomes consistently.
- Monitor product performance metrics and flag issues to the right teams so that the right things ship first.
- Work closely with the Product Operations and Engineering teams to define and refine operational workflows for the product.
Requirements
- One to two years of experience in management consulting, high-growth startups, healthcare operations, or finance is required.
- Extremely detail-oriented with the ability to catch small issues before they become larger, more costly problems.
- Comfortable working with dashboards, spreadsheets, and unstructured or messy data sets on a regular basis.
- A self-starter who reasons from first principles and works through unfamiliar problems independently without waiting for guidance.
- Calm and resourceful during chaotic days, keeping work moving forward without needing to be asked or reminded.
- Able to operate with discretion and judgment when navigating payer portals and other sensitive administrative systems.
- Bonus: background in healthcare, medicine, or public health fields is a strong advantage for this role.
- Bonus: prior authorization or payer-side operations experience is valued and considered a plus.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with medical billing codes such as HCPCS, J-codes, and ICD-10 classification systems used in healthcare.
- Prior experience with structured data formats like JSON or FHIR standards for health information exchange.
- Exposure to project management tools such as Linear for tracking work items, priorities, and team progress.
- Background in payer operations or insurance-related administrative processes within a healthcare or medical setting.
- Experience working directly with healthcare providers or in medical office environments on a regular basis.
