Senior Devops Developer
Job description
About the role
The Senior DevOps Engineer for the Lightspeed Constellation at Telesat owns the design, implementation, and continuous evolution of the cloud infrastructure and CI/CD platform that powers next-generation satellite operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the platform's unwavering reliability, scalability, and automation as it supports a diverse and complex technology stack. The hire will make critical decisions that directly influence deployment stability, operational integrity, and the velocity of feature delivery to orbital systems. They will act as the primary architect for infrastructure as code, defining the standards and patterns that govern how software moves from development to production. This position requires a deep partnership with engineering teams to build robust and efficient workflows that span multiple programming languages. The role demands vigilance in monitoring and refinement to maintain high performance across ground station and network segments. Ultimately, the Senior DevOps Engineer is accountable for the end-to-end integrity of the deployment pipeline, enabling the reliable operation of Telesat's constellation.
