About the role
Teckro is hiring a Staff DevOps Engineer to join their team on a full-time basis. The role is based in Dublin and supports remote work arrangements for qualified candidates. This position focuses on building and maintaining the infrastructure that powers Teckro's platform for clinical research and drug development. The engineer will work closely with development teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure systems while shaping the company's infrastructure strategy and collaborating with cross-functional partners.

What you'll do
- Own and continuously improve the CI/CD pipelines that support application delivery across all environments
- Manage cloud infrastructure resources to ensure high availability, reliability, and consistent performance
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement scalable deployment strategies for services
- Monitor system health and respond to incidents in a timely and effective manner
- Automate the provisioning and management of infrastructure using code-based configuration and automation tools
- Conduct thorough capacity planning and performance tuning for all production systems and services
- Maintain security standards and compliance requirements across all infrastructure components and environments
- Mentor junior engineers and actively contribute to team knowledge sharing and growth
- Evaluate new tools and practices to continuously improve operational efficiency and developer experience
- Document infrastructure architecture and operational procedures for the engineering team and stakeholders
- Partner with security teams to implement identity and access management across all cloud resources
- Drive infrastructure reliability improvements through post-incident reviews and proactive system hardening initiatives
- Support application performance optimization by analyzing infrastructure metrics and identifying bottlenecks
- Ensure infrastructure documentation is current and accessible to all engineering team members
- Participate in architecture reviews and provide operational perspective on system design decisions
Requirements
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools and configuration management systems for automating deployments at scale
- Strong background in Linux system administration, networking fundamentals, and troubleshooting is required
- Familiarity with container orchestration platforms and microservice architectures is expected for this role
- Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of complex distributed systems in production
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and observability practices in production environments is essential
- Good understanding of security best practices for cloud-based infrastructure, networking, and application layers
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and cross-functional partners
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience in a related discipline
- Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative development workflows is important for this role
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems under pressure
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment
