About the role
You will take ownership of the continuous development of our internal services and tools, ensuring they remain robust and scalable for millions of users. You will substantially shape the build-out of a future-oriented architecture and infrastructure that supports our long-term vision. You will collaborate closely with product and frontend experts to design and implement impactful new features that enhance the user experience. You will actively drive AI-supported development by integrating LLMs for code generation and product features to accelerate our growth. You will explore and implement advanced topics such as machine learning, generative AI, and data engineering to push the boundaries of our technology. You will contribute to the full lifecycle of brand-new products from the very first line of code to deployment and beyond. You will maintain a strong focus on writing high-performance, maintainable code and designing complex systems with precision. You will work within a small, family-like team that values open communication, data-driven decisions, and equal treatment for everyone.

What you'll do
- Take ownership of the continuous development of our internal services and tools.

- Expand and refine our existing CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Collaborate with product and frontend teams to design and implement impactful new features.
- Actively drive AI-supported development by integrating LLMs for code generation and product features.
- Explore and implement advanced topics like machine learning, generative AI, and data engineering.
- Contribute to the full lifecycle of brand-new products from the very first line of code.
- Work with data engineers to improve data flows and ensure high-quality information handling.
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance within the application stack.
- Optimize application performance for speed, reliability, and scalability.
- Mentor junior developers and share knowledge through code reviews and pair programming.
- Break down complex requirements into manageable tasks and deliver them iteratively.
- Participate in on-call rotations to support production systems and resolve incidents.
- Continuously evaluate new technologies and tools to improve our development workflow.
Requirements
- You possess strong proficiency in at least one object-oriented or functional language such as Java, Kotlin, or Scala, with a focus on TypeScript.
- You have a passion for writing high-performance, maintainable code and designing complex systems.
- You are highly proficient with modern AI tooling, such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or LLM APIs.
- You actively follow AI trends and proactively integrate innovative tools into your daily workflow.
- You have a strong desire to dive into new technical territories and continuously develop your skills.
- You enjoy working in a small, agile team where your contribution has a direct, visible impact.
- You are a pragmatic problem-solver who values logic and data over hierarchy.
- You are comfortable working autonomously and taking full responsibility for your work and outcomes.
- You have experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including product and frontend experts.
- You understand the importance of automated testing and CI/CD in maintaining code quality.
- You have a solid grasp of software architecture principles and design patterns.
- You are comfortable communicating in English at a professional level on documentation and calls.
- You are legally authorized to work in Germany without restrictions.
- You have a strong commitment to learning and adapting to new technologies quickly.
- You are detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Hours
