This role focuses on transforming workflows across various marketing functions using advanced agentic AI. You will pioneer the design of autonomous systems that connect disparate marketing tools into a cohesive operational network. You are responsible for ensuring that every automated process is transparent, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives. Key facts
What you'll do
- Design and implement an AI-first operating model for our marketing department, establishing the foundational architecture for intelligent workflows.
- Identify and resolve workflow bottlenecks within Creative Studio, User Acquisition, CRM, SEO/AEO, and analytics teams through systematic analysis and automation.
- Develop sophisticated agentic systems, including agent harnesses, for complex, multi-step workflows that require coordination and decision-making.
- Take ownership of architectural decisions, building custom software or integrating no-code solutions as appropriate to meet operational needs.
- Systematize successful automations for broader organizational use and document best practices to ensure consistency and repeatability.
- Empower marketing professionals by providing tools and guidance to become builders themselves, reducing dependency on external support.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to translate ambiguous problems into well-defined technical specifications for automation.
- Continuously evaluate emerging AI technologies and determine their applicability to improving marketing operations and return on investment.
- Implement monitoring and logging for automated workflows to ensure reliability, performance, and ease of debugging.
- Maintain a strong focus on data quality and integrity throughout the automation lifecycle, ensuring that automated decisions are based on accurate information.
- Contribute to the development of internal standards and guidelines for AI-assisted development and deployment in marketing contexts.
- Work closely with product and growth teams to identify new opportunities for automation that can provide a competitive advantage.
Requirements
- Proven history of creating internal tools, automation pipelines, or backend integrations that improved operational efficiency, demonstrating tangible impact on business metrics.
- Hands-on experience with modern AI development tools such as Claude Code, agent frameworks, and model APIs for rapid software delivery and iteration.
- Expertise in connecting various software platforms using REST APIs, webhooks, and data pipelines to create seamless integrations between systems.
- Strong understanding of analytics and data management to support automated marketing operations and enable data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to work independently, define success metrics, and drive projects from conception to deployment and maintenance without constant supervision.
- A blend of marketing understanding, software engineering or advanced marketing automation skills, and analytics expertise that allows you to bridge technical and business discussions.
- Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable code and document technical solutions for other engineers and stakeholders.
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift based on business needs.
Nice to have
- Experience as a software engineer interested in marketing and growth challenges, bringing a technical perspective to marketing problems.
- Background as a marketing automation or MarTech builder with full-stack engineering capabilities, allowing for end-to-end solution delivery.
