About the role
The role blends business and technical expertise while collaborating with partner stakeholders to define and evolve market-facing solutions. You will own the architectural narrative for the Tanium platform as it applies to partner service offerings and commercial outcomes. This position requires fluency in both business strategy and deep technical execution to ensure partner programs can scale efficiently. You will translate complex platform capabilities into clear pathways for partners to monetize and deliver value. The position focuses on enabling partners to extend the Tanium platform within their managed services and consulting practices. You will design, validate, and refine solution blueprints that address partner and customer needs in the endpoint management and security domain. Success is measured by the quality of partner implementations, the strength of solution alignment, and the durability of technical relationships. You will act as a trusted advisor who removes complexity and provides clarity on how Tanium can drive differentiated services.

What you'll do
Define and evolve the reference architecture for the Tanium platform as used by partners to deliver managed services and professional engagements.
Lead the technical discovery phase with partner stakeholders to map business objectives to Tanium capabilities and integration points.
Design solution prototypes and proof of concepts that demonstrate how Tanium can address complex endpoint security and systems management use cases for partners.
Own the creation of partner-facing artifacts such as solution briefs, technical guides, and demo scenarios that accelerate sales cycles.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to surface partner requirements and translate them into actionable platform enhancements or configuration guidance.
Enable partners through training, workshops, and hands-on sessions that build confidence in deploying and operating the Tanium platform at scale.
Develop and maintain a catalog of proven solution patterns and playbooks that partners can reuse across customer environments and industries.
Perform technical due diligence on partner proposals to ensure architectural consistency, security standards, and operational feasibility are maintained.
Work closely with Strategic Alliances Business Development to synchronize objectives, roadmap priorities, and commercial positioning of joint offerings.
Analyze partner feedback and customer outcomes to iteratively refine solution architectures, success metrics, and enablement materials.
Champion best practices for monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing Tanium deployments within partner delivery models and service frameworks.
Represent Tanium in technical discussions with C-level stakeholders at partner customer organizations, focusing on risk, value, and long-term operational sustainability.
Drive alignment between product capabilities, partner service offerings, and customer expectations to ensure coherent and compelling value propositions.
Document architectural decisions, trade-offs, and dependencies to support repeatable, scalable, and governable partner solution implementations.
Requirements
A BS degree in computer science, MIS, or equivalent experience is required to anchor partner engagements and provide a common technical language with stakeholders.
Six or more years of professional experience working with partners and integrating software solutions with service providers is necessary for navigating complex sales and delivery environments.
The ability to translate between business and technology realms must be demonstrated through roles similar to pre-sales engineering, consulting, or technical account management.
Hands-on experience in endpoint security, endpoint support or troubleshooting, incident response, systems management, systems administration, software engineering, or utility scripting must span five or more years to ensure credibility with technical audiences.
Technology must be envisioned as a lever to create or enhance business opportunities for service providers through structured thinking and repeatable frameworks.
Projects must drive from idea to implementation, supported by a track record of execution that shows ownership, follow-through, and measurable impact.
Hands-on Tanium experience provides a strong advantage by enabling you to speak authentically about platform strengths, limitations, and evolution.
Natural team orientation with a mission-first attitude is required to guide daily work, align with shared objectives, and support colleagues in challenging contexts.
You must be comfortable operating under at-will employment terms per local law while maintaining professionalism and reliability in a distributed, partner-facing role.
Effective communication skills are essential for presenting complex technical concepts to both technical and executive audiences within partner organizations.

You should be comfortable managing ambiguity and navigating competing priorities while maintaining clarity on objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required to diagnose complex issues, evaluate alternative solutions, and recommend pragmatic approaches.

Preferred experience with endpoint management platforms, security operations, or service provider delivery models where Tanium plays a strategic role.
Background working with consulting or systems integration practices where methodologies, frameworks, and standardized deliverables are used.

Familiarity with professional services tools, partner relationship management systems, and solution blueprinting methods.
