What you'll do
- Conduct thorough research before meetings with potential clients to understand their industry, business environment, and specific challenges. This preparation helps tailor presentations and solutions to meet client needs effectively.
- Engage in discovery sessions with prospects to uncover detailed customer requirements, pain points, and key metrics that influence their decision-making process. This includes understanding their current contact center setup, technical infrastructure, and operational goals.
- Use your comprehensive knowledge of Talkdesk solutions to recommend the most appropriate products and services that align with customer needs. This includes explaining features, benefits, and potential integrations of Talkdesk offerings.
- Create compelling presentations and product demonstrations that showcase how Talkdesk solutions can solve customer problems, improve efficiency, and generate measurable value. You will adapt your messaging to resonate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Develop clear and persuasive value statements that articulate the financial and operational benefits of adopting Talkdesk solutions, including ROI calculations and efficiency improvements.
- Assist in defining the scope of Statements of Work (SOWs) for customer projects, ensuring clarity around deliverables, timelines, and responsibilities. This may involve collaborating with sales teams and technical teams to align expectations.
- Manage customer pilots and Proof of Concepts (POCs), overseeing their setup, execution, and evaluation to demonstrate the value of Talkdesk solutions in real-world scenarios.
- Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs), addressing functional and technical requirements by mapping customer needs to Talkdesk capabilities. This includes preparing detailed documentation and technical explanations.
- Collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams by providing customer feedback, feature requests, and insights gathered during client interactions to influence product development and enhancements.
- Support marketing and demand generation initiatives by participating in webinars, customer events, and other promotional activities as needed.
- Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to position Talkdesk solutions effectively in the marketplace.
- Assist with onboarding and training new clients post-sale, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to deployment and ongoing support.
- Build strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and technical resource throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Contribute to the development of internal knowledge bases, best practices, and sales enablement materials to improve team effectiveness.
- Stay updated on product updates, new features, and industry best practices to continually enhance your technical expertise and customer engagement strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Solutions Engineer or similar technical consulting role within software, VOIP/Telecommunications, or contact center environments.
- Proven track record of working with enterprise clients and managing complex technical sales processes.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging presentations and product demonstrations that effectively communicate technical solutions to diverse audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze customer requirements and develop tailored technical solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Experience leading technical discussions, managing customer pilots, and responding to RFIs/RFPs.
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, IT Service Management, Data Warehousing, and Business Intelligence tools is advantageous.
- Knowledge of UCaaS (Unified Communications as a Service) and CCaaS (Contact Center as a Service) software is a plus.
- Experience with web technologies, scripting, or automation tools is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings, industry events, or internal team activities as needed.
Nice to have
- Prior experience working with enterprise contact center solutions or related platforms.
- Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements such as ITAR.
- Knowledge of scripting languages or automation frameworks that can enhance solution demonstrations.
- Experience working in a fast-growing SaaS environment with a focus on customer success.
- Multilingual abilities to communicate with diverse client bases are a plus.

- The salary range (OTE) for this role is $135,000 to $205,000, with additional incentives such as bonuses or equity depending on performance and company policies.
