About the role
In the capacity of Senior Director, you will serve as a key technical partner focused on acquiring new clients and increasing annual recurring revenue in North America and Latin America. Collaborating closely with the Senior Vice President of Sales for the Americas, your role will involve leading, developing, and motivating a high-performing team of Solution Engineering Managers and their teams.

What you'll do
- Collaborate with the SVP of Sales for the Americas to formulate and implement a unified technical sales strategy aimed at attracting new clients and enhancing revenue in existing enterprise accounts.
- Serve as the executive technical advocate for significant strategic deals in North America and Latin America, fostering trust and building relationships with client executives.
- Ensure Talkdesk remains aligned with evolving market trends to maintain leadership in the Commercial, Enterprise, and Strategic customer segments.
- Mentor and guide a team of Solution Engineering Managers, ensuring they effectively develop their teams.
- Oversee talent acquisition, hiring strategies, and resource distribution across North America and Latin America, while addressing regional market differences.
- Promote a dynamic, inclusive culture that emphasizes continuous learning, excellence in execution, and collaboration across departments.
- Establish and refine pre-sales KPIs, discovery processes, and demo standards to enhance success rates and reduce sales cycles.
- Act as a vital communication link between field teams in the Americas, Product Management, and Engineering to influence the product roadmap based on market needs.
- Work on global strategic initiatives to design enterprise solutions that position Talkdesk as a leading AI platform, enhancing our market presence through comprehensive customer experience automation.
Requirements
- 10 to 15 years of experience in leading pre-sales or solution engineering teams within a fast-growing SaaS environment, including a minimum of 5 years in a management role.
- Over 10 years of extensive experience in the Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS), Customer Service Software, or Customer Experience (CX) sectors. Familiarity with AI, Workforce Engagement Management (WEM), and Business Intelligence is highly desirable.
- Proven track record in managing complex, multi-million dollar enterprise sales processes, consistently achieving or surpassing regional ARR and new growth objectives.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts in a business context to C-level executives.
- Experience in managing or expanding pre-sales operations across North America and Latin America, with a solid understanding of LATAM market dynamics being a significant advantage.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing global tech environment.
- A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
Travel Requirement
- Willingness to travel 25% to 30% within the Americas to support key deals, team alignment, and executive events.
Pay Range (OTE Pay): $250,000 - $376,000
Other Types of
Pay: Depending on the role, candidates may qualify for long-term incentives in the form of equity and short-term incentives, including bonuses or commissions.
