About the role
In this position, you will be a key technical resource working closely with potential clients to understand their unique business challenges and objectives. You will lead technical discovery sessions, conduct detailed needs assessments, and present tailored solutions that align with customer requirements. Your deep understanding of Talkdesk's product offerings and technical capabilities will enable you to guide clients through complex evaluations, demonstrations, and proof of concept projects. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, consultative skills, and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will collaborate with sales, product management, and engineering teams to ensure customer success and gather feedback for product improvements.

What you'll do
- Prepare thoroughly for client meetings by researching their industry, business environment, and specific operational challenges to ensure tailored and impactful discussions.
- Lead discovery conversations with prospective clients to uncover their core needs, pain points, and key success metrics, enabling the team to craft customized solutions.
- Gather detailed technical and business requirements during client interactions to inform solution design and proposal development.
- Use your comprehensive knowledge of Talkdesk's product suite to recommend the most appropriate solutions that meet customer needs and align with their strategic goals.
- Develop and deliver engaging, customized presentations and product demonstrations that clearly showcase Talkdesk's capabilities and value propositions.
- Articulate the financial, operational, and customer experience benefits of Talkdesk solutions, helping clients understand the return on investment and value delivered.
- Assist clients in defining scope of work, technical requirements, and implementation plans to ensure smooth deployment and integration of Talkdesk solutions.
- Manage and execute customer pilots and proof of concept projects, providing technical guidance and support throughout the process to validate solution effectiveness.
- Respond promptly and effectively to functional and technical requests for information, proposals, and RFPs, ensuring alignment with Talkdesk's offerings and customer expectations.
- Collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams to relay customer feedback, feature requests, and technical challenges, contributing to ongoing product development.
- Support marketing and demand generation initiatives by participating in webinars, industry events, and customer success stories as needed.
- Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies relevant to contact centers and cloud communications.
- Assist in onboarding new clients by providing technical training and knowledge transfer to ensure successful adoption and usage of Talkdesk solutions.
- Work with sales teams to develop account strategies, technical proposals, and solution architectures that align with customer needs and business goals.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in cloud contact center technology, UCaaS, CCaaS, and related fields to maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Solutions Engineer, Solutions Consultant, or similar technical role within software, VOIP/Telecommunications, or contact centers, especially in enterprise sales environments.
- Proven ability to deliver compelling technical presentations, product demonstrations, and workshops to diverse audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative technical solutions that address complex customer challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience leading technical discussions, managing customer expectations, and providing technical guidance during sales cycles.
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, IT Service Management (ITSM), Data Warehousing, and Business Intelligence tools is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) and Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) platforms is beneficial.
- Experience working with web technologies, scripting languages, and cloud-based solutions is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate requirements gathering and proposal development.

- Experience with AI-driven solutions in customer service and contact centers.
- Knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements relevant to contact center operations.
- Prior experience working in a global or multicultural environment.
