As an Enterprise Account Executive at Talkdesk, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by overseeing the sales process. Your main responsibility will be to develop and execute a strategic sales plan that aligns with both immediate and long-term business objectives. What you'll do
- Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales goals through effective management of the sales process.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that ensures consistent performance aligned with company objectives.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with prospects, existing customers, and business partners.
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure alignment with the Go-to-Market strategy, focusing on market segmentation and targeted accounts.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts to management, adhering to company policies and practices.
- Gather and relay customer feedback and market insights back to the organization to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Engage proactively in cross-functional problem-solving to meet customer needs effectively.
- Prioritize customer requirements to guide engineering and other teams in their initiatives.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and develop targeted outreach strategies.
- Participate in industry events and conferences to network and promote Talkdesk solutions.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create effective campaigns that resonate with target audiences.
- Utilize CRM tools to track sales activities and manage customer relationships efficiently.
Requirements
- Willingness to travel 50% of the time or more is essential.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in new business development and direct sales, with a proven history of meeting or exceeding quotas.
- Experience in selling Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions and managing complex sales processes directed at senior executives in large enterprises.
- Strong analytical skills coupled with business acumen, enabling you to identify opportunities and cultivate positive relationships.
- Demonstrated success in planning and executing new business initiatives effectively.
- Proven track record of increasing revenue and acquiring new customers successfully.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong presentation abilities.
- Extensive experience in negotiation and contract development is required.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment, adapting to changing needs and priorities.
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, although relevant experience may be considered.

- Familiarity with CRM software and sales enablement tools.
- Previous experience in the technology or telecommunications industry.
- Knowledge of market trends and competitive landscape within the SaaS sector.
- Proven ability to mentor junior sales staff or lead small teams.

Practical notes
The compensation for this role includes a base salary and performance-based incentives, with an On-Target Earnings (OTE) range of $200,000 to $240,000. Additional compensation may include long-term incentives such as equity and short-term incentives like bonuses or commissions.

Talkdesk offers an uncapped paid time off policy for exempt employees, while non-exempt employees follow an accrual-based system, both subject to managerial approval. Employees also enjoy 14 paid holidays annually and uncapped paid sick leave for exempt employees, with non-exempt employees accruing sick leave as well.
