About the role

Synapticure is building a specialized cognitive care division within our virtual clinical network, and this position is central to that growth. You will own the full clinical lifecycle for complex cognitive patients, from initial virtual assessment through long-term disease management. This role requires you to interpret nuanced neurological findings in the absence of in-person examinations and translate them into actionable care plans delivered through technology. You will serve as the medical authority guiding both patients and allied team members through the complexities of neurodegenerative disease. In this capacity, you are responsible for upholding the highest standards of diagnostic accuracy and safety in a remote setting. You will mentor junior clinicians on best practices for virtual neurology, ensuring consistency and excellence across the network. Your work will directly influence how patients and families experience care, focusing on empathy and clarity during vulnerable moments. Ultimately, you will be a key driver in scaling our cognitive specialty services while maintaining a deeply patient-centered approach.

What you'll do

Lead complex virtual evaluations for patients presenting with cognitive decline, memory loss, and suspected neurodegenerative disorders.

Formulate differential diagnoses and create comprehensive virtual care plans tailored to the specific needs of patients with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and related conditions.

Supervise and guide Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) across multiple states, ensuring clinical alignment and adherence to telehealth protocols.

Integrate behavioral health insights and care coordination strategies into neurological treatment plans to address the holistic needs of patients.

Champion the utilization of real-world evidence and data analytics to refine clinical pathways and improve patient outcomes over time.

Collaborate with life sciences partners to facilitate appropriate trial screening and access to innovative therapies within approved study protocols.

Interpret longitudinal patient data to adjust medication regimens and non-pharmacological interventions in a virtual context.

Educate patients and families on disease progression, management strategies, and available resources using clear, accessible language.

Act as the primary neurological consultant for interdisciplinary teams, resolving complex cases that require specialized expertise.

Drive the implementation of standardized cognitive assessment workflows to ensure consistency and quality across all virtual visits.

Participate in the development of clinical policies that ensure compliance with multi-state telehealth regulations and licensing requirements.

Spearhead initiatives to enhance the virtual patient experience, focusing on reducing barriers to access and improving satisfaction.

Contribute to the generation of clinical insights that support research and innovation within the decentralized care model.

Serve as a thought leader in cognitive neurology, representing Synapticure in discussions surrounding the future of virtual specialty care.

Requirements

Must be licensed to practice neurology in at least one U.S. state and possess active board certification in Neurology with a focus on Cognitive Disorders or equivalent expertise.

Demonstrated experience in the diagnosis and management of Alzheimer's disease, dementia, Parkinson's disease, and other neurodegenerative conditions is mandatory.

Proficiency in conducting neurological examinations and cognitive assessments via telehealth platforms is required, with a strong understanding of limitations and adaptations.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential for effectively coordinating care across virtual interfaces and with diverse team members.

A commitment to working remotely in a fully virtual environment while maintaining rigorous standards of clinical care and documentation.

The ability to manage complex, high-acuity patient cases independently while adhering to strict safety and regulatory guidelines.

Experience supervising or leading other clinicians, including Advanced Practice Providers, in a decentralized clinical setting.

Strong organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple patient cases concurrently within a technology-driven workflow.

Unwavering dedication to patient advocacy and the delivery of compassionate, person-centered care through digital channels.

Nice to have

Preferred experience with CMS' GUIDE dementia care model and familiarity with integrated care frameworks.

Knowledge of life science clinical trial processes and protocols, particularly in neurodegenerative therapeutic areas.

Experience with remote-first company culture and asynchronous communication tools.
