Product Manager - Marketplace
Job description
Product Manager - Marketplace
About the role
Supabase is seeking a Product Manager to lead the development and strategy of our marketplace and integration surfaces. This role is central to connecting developers with the capabilities they need to build their applications efficiently.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Shape the product vision and roadmap for the marketplace, a platform where partners and developers can offer integrations and where Supabase users can discover and implement them.
- Enhance the experience for developers to find and integrate solutions, overseeing discovery, search, listings, and the entire installation process to ensure new capabilities work seamlessly with Supabase primitives.
- Streamline the process for partners and developers to publish integrations, encouraging high-quality contributions and maintaining a comprehensive catalog.
- Establish quality standards and listing guidelines, collaborating with engineering and partnerships to build review, safety, and versioning systems that ensure catalog trustworthiness as it expands.
- Define key performance indicators for marketplace health, covering both supply and demand, and use data to inform future product decisions.
- Position the marketplace as a primary distribution channel for agent-driven development, facilitating the discovery and composition of capabilities by development agents.
Requirements
- Possess at least 7 years of experience in product management focused on developer tools or marketplaces, or have prior founder experience with a strong product sense, particularly in identifying impactful partners and integrations, with an emphasis on agentic and code-first solutions.
- Have a track record of building and scaling two-sided platforms, such as app stores, plugin ecosystems, developer platforms, or marketplaces, understanding the dynamics of balancing supply and demand, developer recruitment, listing quality, and user experience for discovery and installation. Prior experience with app stores or developer platform distribution is highly beneficial.
- Demonstrate a bias for rapid iteration and learning by shipping, prioritizing progress over extensive specification refinement.
- Actively use and test the products you manage, experiencing both sides of the marketplace to form informed opinions.
- Utilize AI tools to accelerate tasks like research and drafting, allowing more time for strategic judgment.
- Excel in asynchronous communication, making decisions and driving work forward through written documentation without relying on frequent meetings.

About the company
Lovable is a Swedish vibe coding platform founded in Stockholm in 2023. The company builds software that translates user prompts into working code. This approach automates significant parts of the software development lifecycle. Developers and non-technical users can describe features in natural language. The system then generates the corresponding application structure and logic. The goal is to lower the barrier to creating custom software tools. The platform handles frontend and backend integration automatically. Users iterate on the generated output through further conversation. This reduces the time required to move from idea to deployed application. The technology relies on large language models trained for code synthesis. Lovable focuses on producing maintainable codebases rather than throwaway prototypes. The team operates from its headquarters in Sweden. They serve a global user base through a cloud-based interface. The product targets startups, agencies, and internal tool builders. It supports rapid prototyping and production-grade deployment. The company continues to expand the range of frameworks and libraries supported. Their roadmap emphasizes reliability and developer control over generated assets. Lovable positions itself as a partner for human developers rather than a replacement. The platform integrates with standard version control and hosting workflows. This allows teams to adopt the tool without disrupting existing processes.
