Supabase is on the lookout for a dedicated Event Programs Manager to enhance our engagement with the developer community and elevate our presence at industry events. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for crafting and executing initiatives that resonate with developers and integrate seamlessly into the broader tech landscape. Your efforts will play a crucial role in defining how Supabase interacts with developers worldwide through a variety of community-driven projects.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Design and cultivate global meetups, workshops, and hackathons aimed at fostering developer engagement.
- Collaborate closely with the developer relations team to organize community events that align with product launches and educational opportunities.
- Plan and execute community gatherings that coincide with major industry events and product unveilings.
- Contribute to the programming and organization of Supabase Select, our flagship user conference.
- Support the SupaSquad advocate network by facilitating community-driven activities and initiatives.
- Assist in coordinating Supabase's involvement in prominent conferences such as AWS re:Invent, KubeCon, and Stripe Sessions.
- Organize developer-centric side events and partner collaborations during major conferences to enhance visibility and engagement.
- Work in tandem with partnerships to strategize and plan joint events that benefit both parties.
- Develop standardized frameworks and playbooks that guide community and ecosystem programs for consistency and effectiveness.
- Identify successful initiatives and devise strategies to replicate them across various regions to maximize impact.
- Continuously refine event formats and operational processes as programs evolve and mature.
- Collaborate with the events team to manage logistics and ensure smooth execution of community programs.
- Partner with the marketing team to promote events effectively and ensure readiness for attendees.
- Focus on delivering exceptional attendee experiences and implement thorough post-event follow-up to gather insights and feedback.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in fields such as field marketing, developer marketing, community programs, or partner marketing.
- Proven track record of engaging with developer communities or technical audiences effectively.
- Strong project management and organizational skills to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively across various teams and departments.
- A genuine interest in developer ecosystems and communities, particularly those centered around modern infrastructure.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing several projects concurrently.
- Comfortable working independently and remotely, demonstrating self-motivation and discipline.
- Willingness to travel as necessary for events and community engagements.
