Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic Outside Sales Account Manager to join a leading North American industrial distribution organization. In this capacity, you will own the end-to-end customer journey for complex projects, acting as the primary liaison between our technical capabilities and demanding industrial applications. Success in this role requires the ability to translate client challenges into integrated solutions spanning multiple operational domains. Your decisions will directly influence partner satisfaction and define the reliability of our service.
This position is based in Orlando, Florida, and reports to the Sales Management function. The role is focused on serving Industrial and OEM equipment manufacturers, as well as the plants, mills, mines, and heavy-duty facilities that form the backbone of the global economy. The ideal candidate is a self-driven professional who thrives on building long-term trust through technical acumen and operational excellence.
Compensation and Engagement
This is a full-time external sales position with a competitive total compensation package. The On Target Earnings (OTE) range is $70,000 to $100,000, reflecting the performance-driven nature of the role.
Key Responsibilities
Your daily activities will focus on strategic account development and execution. You will initiate contact with key stakeholders, quickly establishing credibility and uncovering critical business needs. A core part of your mandate involves mapping solution architectures, demonstrating how our offerings integrate within Fluid Power and Fluid Process environments. You will be responsible for crafting detailed proposals that balance technical accuracy with budget realities and operational limitations.
Coordination is a central function; you will work closely with internal departments to guarantee kit readiness and the timely completion of subassembly tasks. This ensures our partners can meet their demanding production schedules without disruption. You will also provide post-sale support, offering insights on hydraulic repair and installation best practices to reinforce long-term client confidence.
Additional duties include monitoring inventory programs to ensure stock levels align with the forecasted needs of diverse industrial plants. You will support initial design phases by supplying data that underscores the value of our motion control segments. also, you will advise leadership at mills and factories on the selection of General Industrial Components that enhance system uptime and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must bring a minimum of three years of proven experience within industrial or OEM settings. A practical understanding of Fluid Conveyance and Industrial Repair principles is essential for maintaining productive dialogue with technical teams. You must possess strong communication skills, able to convey complex concepts clearly to engineers and plant managers. This clarity supports informed decision-making at all levels of the organization.
Willingness to travel is mandatory to engage with clients across North American regions and to respond to evolving market demands.
Value-Added Expertise
- In-depth knowledge of Fluid Power and Fluid Process systems.
- Familiarity with Fluid Conveyance networks and Industrial Repair methodologies.
