You will own the end-to-end sales cycle for mechanical product lines within your assigned NE Georgia territory, acting as the primary point of contact for a defined book of business. This role requires you to leverage deep technical knowledge of pumps, steam products, filtration, heat exchangers, and instrumentation to solve complex application problems. You will translate customer needs into precise equipment selections and generate profitable revenue growth through consultative selling. Success in this position means building trusted advisor relationships that position Carotek as the essential process equipment partner. You will be expected to challenge the status quo with data-driven insights while maintaining the highest standards of integrity. What you'll do
-Conduct proactive discovery sessions with engineering and operations personnel to uncover latent process equipment requirements.
-Develop multi-year account plans that outline specific growth initiatives and penetration strategies for strategic accounts.
-Execute a minimum of five high-quality sales calls per day to ensure consistent pipeline generation and forecast accuracy.
-Perform detailed application reviews to verify equipment compatibility and dimensional suitability before offering formal quotations.
-Lead technical training sessions for engineering firms to demonstrate product capabilities and optimal implementation methods.
-Analyze competitive offerings to identify gaps and formulate value-based selling arguments specific to municipal and commercial markets.
-Maintain rigorous CRM hygiene by logging all interactions, updating probability metrics, and documenting stakeholder maps.
-Collaborate with Inside Sales to structure formal quotations that balance customer value with healthy margin targets.
-Forecast monthly and quarterly revenue potential based on pipeline health and manufacturer capacity constraints.
-Represent Carotek at local industry association meetings to strengthen brand visibility and market positioning.
-Troubleshoot in-field equipment issues by coordinating with service partners and relaying critical feedback to product managers.
-Identify cross-sell opportunities across steam, filtration, and instrumentation portfolios to maximize wallet share.
-Evaluate emerging IIoT trends and assess their potential integration into existing process equipment solutions.
-Prepare concise executive summaries for senior leadership highlighting key wins, risks, and strategic recommendations.
-Ensure strict adherence to company pricing policies and credit guidelines on every transaction.
Requirements
-Associates degree in an engineering or technical field, or business concentration, A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
-Four years Outside Sales experience, preferably in a process equipment related industry and with a proven track record of success; Inside Sales and/or Field Service work a plus.
-Valid Drivers License and acceptable driving record required to meet local travel obligations.
-Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documents and product specifications with a high degree of accuracy.
-Ability to identify critical decision makers within customer organizations and influence without authority.
-Ability to recognize customer needs beyond the stated or obvious through active listening and questioning techniques.
-Ability to work in a professional manner with individuals from varying backgrounds, experience levels, and functional disciplines.
-Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time within the assigned territory for customer calls and meetings.
-Capability to work a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekend work to satisfy customer demands.
-Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for this position at this time.
-Reliable personal transportation is required due to the frequency of territory travel.
-Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds is necessary for trade show attendance and sample transport.

Practical notes
This role operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexibility to extend hours when necessary. Local travel constitutes up to 75% of the working week, requiring frequent visits to customer facilities across the NE Georgia territory. Occasional overnight travel and weekend work may be required to support key accounts or respond to urgent service needs. Candidates must possess a valid state driver's license and maintain a safe driving record to ensure reliable mobility between sites. The position demands the ability to self-transport to various industrial, commercial, and municipal facility locations without assistance. Applicants should be prepared for variable schedules that may include early morning start times or extended days to accommodate engineering meetings and project deadlines. There are no international visa requirements for this position as the role is based solely within the United States.
