About the role
You own the Workday HCM configuration inside a data-aware culture. Designing employee lifecycle flows, you guard system integrity for SumUppers everywhere. Working with People Operations and Payroll, you turn operational needs into intuitive setups. Your guidance helps teams use Core HCM without confusion each day. You translate complex requirements into structured configurations that uphold process reliability. Your work ensures that employee data flows accurately and securely across the organization. You act as a subject matter expert, shaping best practices for HCM processes globally. You contribute to a culture where people data drives smarter decisions and operational excellence.

What you'll do
Design Core HCM structures so staffing and organization models handle growth without friction.
Chart workplace processes with People Operations, converting requests into clean workflows and reliable automation.
Craft document rules and validation setups that stop errors before they reach payroll teams.
Guide HR and payroll colleagues through system changes, keeping confidence high during Workday updates.
Construct dashboards and reports, checking data accuracy to support People decisions in Mexico and Berlin.
Document configurations and change steps, creating standards that future teams can follow easily.
Maintain employee data views, ensuring records stay current for compliance and operational needs.
Support SumUppers with patient, clear explanations when they adopt new Workday features or fixes.
Evaluate process gaps and propose configuration enhancements that improve efficiency and user experience.
Perform end-to-end testing of new workflows to verify functionality and data integrity before go-live.
Partner with global stakeholders to align local requirements with standardized HCM practices.
Leverage data insights to identify trends, highlight risks, and drive continuous improvements in HR operations.
Champion configuration best practices to reduce technical debt and support long-term scalability.
Serve as a point of reference for Workday HCM standards, ensuring consistency across regions and teams.
Requirements
Hands-on Workday HCM experience is essential for this position.
You understand Staffing, Worker Data, Organizations, Business Processes, and Reporting concepts.
Comfort with datasets helps you verify configuration results and avoid mistakes.
Excel or Google Sheets skills must be strong, with careful attention to details.
You can explain technical topics simply and turn requests into scalable setups.
A drive for simplification and continuous improvement guides your daily work.
Advanced English communication skills are required; Intermediate Portuguese is expected.
You are comfortable working in an office-first environment with colleagues located globally.
You adhere to SumUp values while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
You respect data privacy and handle sensitive employee information with care and professionalism.
Nice to have
Experience in fintech or HR contexts supporting high transaction volumes is preferred.
