About the role
Stuut is modernizing B2B accounts receivable by replacing manual, expensive collection processes with intelligent automation. You will lead design efforts for our platform, which serves finance departments ranging from midmarket firms to Fortune 10 industrial and chemical enterprises. In this role, you own the end-to-end design of workflows that turn complex receivables challenges into clear, agentic digital experiences. You will shape the product vision for a system that learns from user behavior and continuously improves its suggestions for collections teams. Your work will directly influence how finance professionals interact with data, automate repetitive tasks, and make decisions at scale. You will partner closely with engineering and product leaders to ensure designs are not only user-centric but also technically feasible and aligned with business outcomes. This position requires comfort with ambiguity and the ability to translate ambiguous business problems into structured, design-led solutions. You will be a key voice advocating for the user while balancing the strategic goals of our customers in the industrial and chemical sectors.

What you'll do
- Architect user interfaces for financial workflows that feel intuitive, responsive, and agentic in nature.
- Lead the discovery phase for new features by conducting user interviews, mapping pain points, and defining clear design hypotheses.
- Translate complex accounts receible logic into coherent flows that reduce cognitive load for finance users.
- Build and test interactive prototypes to validate concepts with stakeholders and end users before committing to code.
- Define and maintain a design system that supports modular components, enabling fast iteration and consistency across the platform.
- Analyze performance metrics and user behavior data to iterate on designs and prove impact on key business metrics.
- Collaborate with engineering partners to translate design specifications into technical requirements that preserve intent and usability.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to align stakeholders on product direction, trade-offs, and implementation priorities.
- Use AI-assisted tools to rapidly generate prototypes, explore variations, and communicate ideas effectively to non-designers.
- Document design decisions and rationales to ensure continuity as the product and team scale over time.
- Partner with product managers to define roadmaps, prioritize features, and ensure design integrity is maintained throughout development cycles.
- Contribute to the growth of design practices within the organization by mentoring junior designers and promoting standards.
- Evaluate emerging tools and methodologies in the AI and automation space to identify opportunities for innovation in the product.
- Act as the primary advocate for the end-user within the company, ensuring that customer needs remain central to strategic decisions.
Requirements
- Bring a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in B2B product design, with a strong track record in enterprise software or SaaS environments.
- Show a demonstrated history of designing interfaces for workflow automation, data-heavy applications, and AI-integrated products.
- Prove your ability to rapidly generate functional prototypes using AI tools and other prototyping software to test and communicate ideas.
- Exhibit strong technical literacy that allows you to engage in detailed discussions with engineering teams about data models, system constraints, and product behavior.
- Present a portfolio that clearly highlights your work in B2B UX/UI, automation workflows, and AI-driven design interventions.
- Demonstrate the capacity to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment without constant supervision.
- Show evidence of experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
