What you'll do

• Architect the enterprise-scale test automation strategy that spans API, UI, and end-to-end scenarios for collections and finance workflows.
• Design and implement a maintainable test framework that integrates with FastAPI services, Vue.js frontends, and event-driven pipelines built on Inngest.
• Lead test coverage planning with product squads to identify critical paths in accounts receivable and prioritize automation that reduces financial risk.
• Stabilize CI/CD test pipelines by diagnosing flaky tests, improving signal fidelity, and tightening feedback loops for faster, safer deployments.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure to architect and maintain realistic test environments that mirror customer data structures and regional compliance needs.
• Optimize CI test stages within Turborepo, Docker, and AWS EKS to reduce cycle times and accelerate release confidence.
• Partner with engineering teams throughout the feature lifecycle to define test strategies and build automation for new functionality in collections and receivables.
• Drive root cause analysis for test and production failures, guiding cross-functional teams to resolve issues at the true source.
• Champion testing best practices, testability principles, and quality standards across engineering organizations from midmarket to Fortune 10 customers.
• Mentor engineers and QA partners in automation design, framework usage, and quality ownership to elevate the entire testing community.

Requirements

• Bring 7+ years of experience in test automation or software engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead test engineering role shaping quality strategy.
• Demonstrate a track record of architecting and maintaining large-scale automation frameworks that support rapid iteration across backend, frontend, and asynchronous systems.
• Show fluency in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript, with hands-on experience using Playwright, Cypress, pytest, and REST API testing frameworks for complex financial applications.
• Prove ability to design high-signal, low-maintenance automated test suites for modern stacks including FastAPI, Vue.js, and event-driven systems built on Inngest.
• Highlight experience improving reliability of CI pipelines in environments using Turborepo, Docker, Vercel, and AWS EKS for distributed workloads.
• Exhibit comfort with cloud-native infrastructure on AWS, Kubernetes, and RDS PostgreSQL while testing distributed systems that handle sensitive financial data.
• Display a strong understanding of CI/CD practices and a history of optimizing automation workflows for speed, signal clarity, and stability in production-like environments.
• Illustrate skill in converting product requirements for accounts receivable into clear, executable test strategies that span multiple layers of the technology stack.
• Evidence collaboration with Product, Backend, Frontend, and DevOps teams to elevate quality, reliability, and compliance in financial software delivery.
• Thrive in a fast-moving, mission-critical environment where testing directly influences customer trust and operational resilience.

Practical notes

• Hours are full-time during standard business hours in the San Francisco time zone.
