We are looking for a Member of the Technical Staff specializing in AI and machine learning to develop and implement AI-driven systems that tackle genuine financial operational issues. Your role will involve transforming advanced AI research into practical features that yield significant benefits for our clients.

What you'll do

• Develop AI applications and intelligent systems that resolve financial workflow challenges for customers.
• Create advanced LLM agents that provide insights, suggest actions, and perform authorized tasks beyond basic chatbot functions.
• Enhance features such as invoice matching, payment reconciliation, and processing of financial documents.
• Optimize LLMs and RAG systems for financial applications, including fine-tuning with proprietary datasets for improved performance.
• Construct efficient AI pipelines from data ingestion to inference, ensuring reliability and cost-effectiveness through strategic model routing.
• Establish high-quality datasets, implement agent tracing, perform regression analysis, and conduct A/B testing to ensure quality and prevent unnoticed regressions.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data teams, and clients to convert business requirements into AI-driven solutions.
• Continuously improve every AI feature by measuring performance and iterating based on feedback.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in AI and machine learning.
• Proven experience in deploying agentic products in production settings and understanding their potential failure points.
• Expertise in integrating and fine-tuning LLMs and constructing RAG systems for data-heavy workflows.
• Experience in training and deploying classical machine learning models, including risk scoring and forecasting, with a focus on feature engineering and model evaluation.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML evaluation methods, including the use of golden datasets and statistical significance in assessments.
• Familiarity with LLM observability tools such as LangSmith, Braintrust, or Arize, and a commitment to thorough tracing practices.
• Knowledge of MLOps principles, including deployment, monitoring, A/B testing, and versioning of models and prompts.
• Proficiency in Python and contemporary AI/ML frameworks like PyTorch, Transformers, scikit-learn, XGBoost, vLLM, and LangChain/LlamaIndex.
• Experience in delivering AI/ML solutions that address real business challenges rather than just creating prototypes.
• Ability to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
• Bonus: Experience with model routing across different providers.
• Bonus: Background in fintech, B2B SaaS, or accounts receivable/payable domains.
• Active engagement in the AI/ML community and a desire to apply AI to practical scenarios.
