About the role
In this role, you will play a crucial part in assisting developers as they integrate with Stripe's financial services. Your primary focus will be on helping users navigate technical challenges while also providing valuable feedback that can lead to enhancements in Stripe's products. Key facts
What you'll do
- Provide support to external developers as they create applications using Stripe's platform, utilizing a variety of programming languages including Java, Python, Ruby, PHP, Go, NodeJS, .NET, ReactJS, React Native, Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, and Android Java.
- Tackle intricate integration challenges faced by developers through multiple communication methods, such as email, ticketing systems, internal tracking tools, community forums, and live chat.
- Develop and enhance documentation, sample code, and integration demonstrations to assist users in maximizing their use of Stripe's infrastructure.
- Identify areas where developers encounter difficulties and work closely with engineering teams to improve Stripe's offerings. Engage in engineering planning and design discussions to contribute to product development.
- Create and sustain internal tools for the Technical Solutions Engineering team and other support functions, including an LLM-based assistant and an invoice explanation tool.
- Act as an internal advocate for developers by providing training to non-technical staff and addressing product integration inquiries in real-time.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that developer feedback is effectively communicated and addressed in product updates.
- Monitor and analyze support metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement in the developer experience.
- Participate in community engagement efforts, such as webinars or developer meetups, to promote best practices and share knowledge about Stripe's platform.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology to ensure that Stripe remains at the forefront of developer support.
- Assist in onboarding new team members by sharing knowledge and resources related to Stripe's products and services.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in full-stack software development, with a proven track record of building high-quality web or mobile applications.
- Strong ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficient in reading and writing code across a diverse range of programming languages.
- Willingness to provide support during local business hours, with occasional availability for weekend coverage when critical systems require attention.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
- A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work well within a team-oriented environment.
Nice to have
- Background in teaching or mentoring developers, showcasing your ability to share knowledge effectively.
- Comfort with working independently and managing your own workload with minimal supervision.
- A degree in Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineering, or a related analytical discipline.
