About the role
You will act as a domain expert for Stripe Radar, owning the technical and market narrative in customer conversations and internal working sessions. This role requires you to own the narrative of risk and fraud prevention across the pre-sales organization, shaping how stakeholders understand evolving threats. You will translate complex product capabilities into clear, compelling stories that resonate with executive and technical audiences. The position demands close collaboration with commercial teams to convert strategic vision into tangible sales outcomes. You will be accountable for developing and scaling reusable assets that multiply the impact of the broader organization. This includes coaching peers and influencing product direction based on frontline market intelligence. You will run high-impact customer workshops and serve as the primary domain authority for Stripe Radar globally.

What you'll do
- Act as a subject matter expert on Stripe Radar product suite to accelerate opportunities globally across diverse verticals and regions.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding and point of view on trends in the fraud and risk management ecosystem, including AI-powered detection, processor-agnostic architectures, and the shift from payment fraud to holistic business risk such as policy abuse and account takeover.
- Develop expertise with the functional and architectural patterns for deploying advanced fraud systems, covering the lifecycle of rule management, ML model tuning, and manual review optimization to maximize detection efficiency.
- Understand the ecosystem of risk and identity integrations, including device fingerprinting, identity verification, bot mitigation, and case management, that Stripe must support for users to be successful in production environments.
- Define, share, and learn best practices and reusable assets with the broader GTM organization to enhance the quality and efficiency of the team in competitive and complex deals.
- Create reference architectures to uplevel the team and refine reference solutions based on product enhancements and feedback from customers and internal stakeholders.
- Partner closely with the Radar product sales team and be an active member of the opportunity team for Stripe's largest and most complex Radar customers to lead strategy and own key customer relationships from discovery to closure.
- Partner closely with the Radar product team to gain early exposure to new products and features, providing feedback that shapes usability, performance, and integration considerations.
- Serve as a "Voice of the Customer" internally to drive product and feature request prioritization, delivering actionable insights on the competitive landscape, emerging fraud vectors, and user pain points.
- Act as an escalation point to drive our most complex technical issues to resolution with Stripe's engineering team, ensuring alignment between technical constraints and commercial expectations.
- Support customers and Stripe teammates on account or deal strategy, and answer product feature and technical questions with clarity and precision.
- Understand the sales process for the product and provide the Sales team with tools, playbooks, and training to qualify potential leads and accelerate pipeline velocity.
- Stay current on competitive analysis and market differentiation, continuously updating positioning based on new product launches and customer feedback.
- Support marketing events including executive briefings, conferences, user groups, and trade shows, representing Stripe Radar with professionalism and depth.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in a pre-sales, technical consulting, product, or risk strategy role focused on e-commerce fraud prevention, risk management, or identity and payments systems.
- 7+ years of demonstrated experience advising enterprise customers and influencing technical strategy in complex B2B sales environments.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience working with fraud, risk, or payments technology products, including rule engines, machine learning overlays, and integration patterns.
- 7+ years of experience collaborating with engineering and product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and trade-offs.
- 7+ years of experience communicating with executive stakeholders and articulating the business value and technical implications of technology investments.
- 7+ years of experience working with global customers across multiple regions, navigating time zones, cultures, and regulatory expectations.
- 7+ years of experience building reusable assets, such as playbooks, frameworks, and reference architectures, that enable less experienced team members to succeed.
- 7+ years of experience coaching and influencing peers, including pre-sales engineers, product managers, and sales representatives, to elevate the quality of commercial execution.
