Bamboohr is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance and Test Analyst to join our dynamic team in Islamabad, Capital Territory. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test plans, as well as identifying and documenting defects. What you'll do

• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on software requirements and specifications to ensure thorough coverage of all functionalities.
• Execute manual and automated testing procedures to identify bugs and ensure that software meets quality standards before release.
• Collaborate closely with software developers and product managers to understand project requirements and provide feedback on potential issues early in the development cycle.
• Document and track defects using industry-standard tools, ensuring that all issues are addressed in a timely manner.
• Conduct regression testing to confirm that recent changes have not adversely affected existing functionalities.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance code quality and maintainability.
• Analyze test results and generate detailed reports that outline findings, trends, and areas for improvement.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance to continuously enhance testing processes.
• Mentor junior QA team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster a culture of quality within the team.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of automated test scripts to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall quality assurance process and contribute to the team's success.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that quality is prioritized throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
• Proficiency in manual testing techniques and familiarity with automated testing tools.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools, such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or TestRail.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript is a plus.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools and techniques is advantageous.

Nice to have

• Experience in mobile application testing, including iOS and Android platforms.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Certification in software testing, such as ISTQB or CSTE, is a plus.
• Knowledge of security testing methodologies and tools.
• Experience with cloud-based testing environments and tools.
