About the role
This position partners with enterprise marketers to accelerate adoption of StackAdapt's Marketing Technology capabilities. The Sales Specialist operates within a fully remote structure across Canada and the United States. Success in this role requires deep Marketing Technology expertise combined with commercial acumen to shape customer strategy at the executive level. The hire acts as a trusted advisor, translating complex technical capabilities into clear business value for marketing leaders. This role focuses on consultative selling of Marketing Technology to enterprise marketers. Ownership of the end-to-end sales cycle is expected, from initial sourcing to final close. The specialist will coach Account Executives on positioning Marketing Technology solutions within broader customer conversations. The role contributes to the development of enablement materials, customer stories, and repeatable sales plays. The specialist identifies emerging opportunities within AI, customer data, and marketing technology while tracking customer adoption and competitive insights.

What you'll do
Source new Marketing Technology opportunities independently, qualifying them through executive discovery and solution selling.
Accelerate strategic opportunities inside existing accounts by partnering closely with Account Executives and Customer Success teams.
Serve enterprise marketers and executive stakeholders as trusted advisors, translating complex technical capabilities into measurable business outcomes.
Engage in cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations to share customer insights.
Influence product roadmap, commercialization, positioning, and go-to-market strategy based on direct customer feedback and market intelligence.
Coach Account Executives, Account Managers, and Client Partners on positioning Marketing Technology solutions within broader customer conversations.
Develop and refine enablement materials, customer stories, and repeatable sales plays to support the sales organization.
Track customer adoption, market trends, and competitive insights to identify emerging opportunities within AI, customer data, and marketing technology.
Contribute to the evolution of sales motions and AI-enabled workflows through active participation and knowledge sharing.
Leverage experience with customer engagement platforms such as Klaviyo, Braze, Attentive, Iterable, or Pebblepost to drive value.
Apply familiarity with Customer Data Platforms, customer journey orchestration, first-party data activation, CRM, personalization, or lifecycle marketing.
Draw on knowledge of AI-powered marketing, omnichannel customer engagement, and modern marketing technology ecosystems to support deals.
Utilize experience supporting mid-market and enterprise sales organizations and navigating complex, consultative sales cycles.
Demonstrate strong executive discovery, solution selling, and presentation skills to articulate the value of StackAdapt's solutions.
Requirements
- Experience selling Marketing Technology, including email marketing, direct mail, orchestration, customer data solutions, lifecycle marketing platforms, or adjacent SaaS technologies is required.
- Enterprise marketing leaders are engaged in consultative, business-focused conversations, and customers are helped to improve acquisition, engagement, retention, personalization, or marketing performance through technology.
- Executive discovery, solution selling, and presentation skills are strong, with the ability to translate complex technology into measurable business outcomes.
- Cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations occurs, and customer insights that influence product roadmap, commercialization, positioning, and go-to-market strategy are shared.
- Account Executives, Account Managers, and Client Partners are coached on positioning Marketing Technology solutions within broader customer conversations, and enablement materials, customer stories, and repeatable sales plays are developed.
- Customer adoption, market trends, and competitive insights are tracked, and emerging opportunities within AI, customer data, and marketing technology are identified, while sales motions and AI-enabled workflows evolve through contribution.
- A Bachelor's degree is required for this role.
