About the role
Become a vital member of the Spotify Sales team based in Tokyo, where you will oversee the complete lifecycle of advertising campaigns for our valued partners. In this role, you will be the primary liaison for clients, guiding them through strategy development, campaign execution, and driving revenue growth across both managed and biddable channels.

What you'll do
- Oversee the entire campaign process from start to finish, which includes responding to RFPs, planning media strategies, and managing creative assets.
- Act as the primary contact for advertisers and agencies, delivering consultative support throughout the sales cycle to ensure client satisfaction.
- Track campaign performance and pacing, utilizing AI tools to enhance delivery and achieve client goals effectively.
- Generate comprehensive post-campaign reports and data-driven insights to facilitate renewals and uncover opportunities for growth.
- Provide education to clients regarding Spotify's offerings, specifically the Spotify Ads Manager (SAM) platform, to enhance their advertising experience.
- Work closely with various internal teams to guarantee accurate billing processes and operational efficiency.
- Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue growth, pitch volume, and client retention rates.
- Collaborate with clients to develop tailored advertising strategies that align with their business objectives.
- Conduct regular check-ins with clients to ensure their needs are met and to foster long-term relationships.
- Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to provide clients with insights that can enhance their advertising efforts.
- Participate in team meetings to share insights and best practices, contributing to the overall success of the Sales team.
- Stay updated on industry developments and Spotify's evolving product offerings to provide the best service to clients.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Sales, Advertising, Marketing, or Business is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in digital media planning or buying is essential.
- A comprehensive understanding of the Japanese media landscape and agency operations is crucial.
- Proficiency in both Japanese and English is necessary for effective communication.
- Familiarity with biddable media strategies and key advertising performance metrics is expected.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders within agencies and present data-driven narratives effectively.
- Strong organizational capabilities to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and internal teams.
Nice to have
- Existing relationships within the Japanese media and agency sectors would be advantageous.
- Experience in programmatic advertising and real-time bidding (RTB) strategies.
- Knowledge of emerging trends in digital advertising and technology.
Skills & tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentations.
- Familiarity with CRM and OMS systems to manage client relationships and operational workflows.
- Experience with ad servers and digital media technologies to optimize campaign performance.
- Knowledge of Spotify Ads Manager (SAM) for campaign management and reporting.
- Competence in using AI-driven reporting and analysis tools to derive actionable insights.
