What you'll do
- Formulate the product strategy and roadmap for User Platform features, focusing on account lifecycle management, identity and access management analytics, and device trust mechanisms.
- Collaborate closely with engineering managers, senior engineers, data scientists, and designers to steer product direction and ensure the delivery of sustainable platform value.
- Work alongside various teams within Spotify to ensure the identity and user data platform adapts to the changing needs of the business and its customers.
- Play a pivotal role in developing Spotify's account lifecycle platform, which includes defining account states, transitions, and audit capabilities for internal stakeholders.
- Lead the vision for User Intelligence, a collaborative platform that provides reliable insights about users, devices, and sessions via APIs.
- Partner with departments such as User Fraud, Subscriptions, and Legal to incorporate trusted identity data into their operational frameworks.
- Simplify complex identity and data challenges into actionable product strategies and prioritization frameworks.
- Establish and track success metrics, including platform adoption rates, data trust levels, and the minimization of fragmented local solutions.
- Balance the need for long-term platform investments with immediate business demands, regulatory considerations, and user experience enhancements.
- Create an effective product operating rhythm across multiple teams, promoting clarity and shared ownership of objectives.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in product management, specifically with platform products, identity systems, infrastructure, or large-scale consumer technology solutions.
- Familiarity with backend platforms, APIs, distributed systems, identity management platforms, policy engines, or large-scale data products.
- A strong commitment to developing secure, private, and user-friendly trusted experiences for customers.
- Proficiency in leveraging data to guide decision-making, validate hypotheses, and make informed product choices, balancing both qualitative and quantitative insights.
- Enjoyment in tackling complex, cross-functional challenges through influence, collaboration, and strategic product thinking.
- Demonstrated ability to forge trusted relationships across Product, Engineering, Security, Legal, Data, Operations, and business teams.
- Skill in articulating highly technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders to facilitate informed business decisions.
- Capacity to align diverse stakeholders while maintaining a focus on achieving long-term product goals.
- A structured and proactive mindset aimed at clarifying complex and evolving challenges.
