Systems Analyst, Supply Chain
Job description
About the role
SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars. As a Systems Analyst within the Starlink program, you will analyze, develop, and implement tactical and strategic business processes for the supply chain group to create high impact, efficient, economical solutions. This role sits at the intersection of data, operations, and strategy, providing the analytical backbone that allows Starlink to scale globally while optimizing cost and reliability. Ideal team members are highly autonomous individuals that excel in flexible environments and bring clarity and informed decision-making to our leadership teams that drive the organization. You will own end to end analysis of complex supply chain problems and translate findings into executable recommendations that materially improve performance.
Key facts
What you'll do
Analyze and interpret key performance indicators related to supply chain, especially inventory levels, lead times, supply coverage, demand fluctuations, and capacity utilization, including developing planning models and decision-making tools.
Create dashboards, models, and other reporting tools to enable strategic visibility across supply chain, production, cross functional teams, and leadership, ensuring data drives critical decisions.
Identify inefficient workflows and develop scripts to automate tactical steps, reducing manual effort and increasing reliability.
Track, report, and proactively manage production efficiency improvements through supply chain initiatives and process optimizations.
Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on supply chain analysis to optimize both supplier and internal processes, balancing cost, service, and risk.
Demonstrate innovation, technical excellence, attention to detail, self-direction, and courage in tackling ambiguous and high-stakes problems.
Drive for results and customer satisfaction by collaborating with teams, leading projects, and continuously spearheading improvements in supply chain.
Work with stakeholders to analyze the impact of proposed business decisions, including actual performance, on SpaceX's business health.
Work with broader application software team to support ERP tools development and supplier-facing portal enhancements, ensuring alignment between systems and operations.
Champion data integrity and governance, ensuring that insights drawn from analytics are accurate, timely, and actionable for downstream stakeholders.
Own specific end to end supply chain metrics, setting hypotheses, running analyses, and documenting learnings for scaling best practices.
Support scenario planning and what if analysis, enabling leadership to evaluate trade offs between cost, schedule, and capability.
Partner with procurement and operations to streamline supplier onboarding, contract terms, and logistics flows while maintaining compliance and quality standards.
Continuously challenge the status quo by testing assumptions, validating data sources, and proposing experiments that improve supply chain resilience and throughput.
