What you'll do

• Prepare and submit telecommunications regulatory reports for more than 170 international markets, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Develop and maintain automated data pipelines and tools that consolidate internal data for efficient reporting and recordkeeping.
• Provide official pricing and product information for Starlink to relevant regulatory authorities.
• Conduct thorough global regulatory research and manage internal databases to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
• Monitor and coordinate responses to customer complaints that have been filed with government agencies, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all regulatory requirements are met in a timely manner.
• Analyze regulatory changes and assess their impact on Starlink operations, providing strategic recommendations to senior management.
• Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Engage with external stakeholders, including government officials and industry groups, to advocate for Starlink's interests.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in telecommunications regulation to enhance compliance strategies.
• Facilitate training sessions for internal teams on regulatory compliance and reporting processes.
• Support the development of policies and procedures to improve compliance and operational efficiency within the organization.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably within a law firm, consulting firm, or telecommunications company.
• Must be able to work onsite in Washington, DC, and be available for extended hours or weekends as needed.
• Candidates must meet ITAR requirements, being a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential for this role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with regulatory bodies and internal teams.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in the telecommunications industry is advantageous.
• Familiarity with fast-paced startup or consulting environments is a plus.
• International work experience and proficiency in foreign languages can enhance your application.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are beneficial.

Skills & tools

• Proficiency in Python for automation, including API requests and data processing.
• Experience with SQL for writing queries and integrating ETL data.
• Knowledge of API endpoint development to facilitate data exchange.
• Advanced skills in Excel and PowerBI for data analysis and visualization.
• Familiarity with QGIS or similar GIS mapping software for spatial data analysis.

Practical notes

• The salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $160,000, commensurate with experience.
• Compensation may include long-term incentives, discretionary bonuses, and participation in an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
