Global Supply Manager, Mechanical

About the role

This position supports the Starlink program by managing mechanical commodities for user terminals and ground stations. You will work within our highly integrated manufacturing environment in Bastrop to drive procurement, supplier development, and cost management strategies.

What you'll do

• Manage the supply base for solar and battery components used in Starlink hardware.
• Negotiate contracts to lower risk, improve delivery priority, and maximize value.
• Develop and oversee project budgets, funding requests, and capitalization plans.
• Analyze production equipment to find process, space, and cost improvements.
• Mentor team members and provide regular status updates to management.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on sourcing strategies for production consumables and capital purchases.
• Perform market research and benchmarking for assigned categories.
• Present cost reviews and supply strategies to company executives.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree with at least 6 years of experience, or 10+ years of experience in engineering, purchasing, contract negotiation, production planning, supply chain management, material cost control, or capital equipment sourcing.
• Ability to work onsite in Bastrop, TX.
• Must meet ITAR requirements: U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

• Experience with global supplier sourcing and in-person international supplier management.
• Professional background in the solar or battery industries.
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
