What you'll do

• Oversee the complete Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) lifecycle for designated classified systems, ensuring all phases are executed effectively.
• Guarantee compliance with all relevant regulatory, policy, and contractual security standards, maintaining the integrity of classified systems.
• Identify and integrate new security requirements across a variety of applications to enhance the overall security posture.
• Continuously monitor emerging threats and best practices within the cybersecurity community to proactively address potential vulnerabilities.
• Organize and coordinate security assessments, audits, and testing to evaluate the effectiveness of current security measures.
• Assess and select appropriate tools that will enhance the efficiency of security assessments and management processes.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.
• Maintain strong professional relationships with government customers and partners, ensuring clear communication and collaboration on security matters.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or a minimum of 3 years of experience in managing cyber assurance for classified networks and systems.
• At least 1 year of professional experience specifically in the realm of cyber assurance.
• Proven ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and ensure compliance with security requirements.
• Strong analytical skills to identify risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player in a dynamic environment.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG) A&A processes.
• Subject matter expertise in the seven-step RMF process, enhancing your ability to manage security assessments effectively.
• Experience in obtaining Authorizations to Operate (ATOs) for satellite systems, weapon systems, and associated networks.
• Knowledge of Communications Security (COMSEC) practices and procedures, contributing to the overall security framework.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Skills & tools

• Proficiency in using security assessment tools such as Nessus for vulnerability scanning.
• Experience with Splunk for security information and event management (SIEM).
• Familiarity with Security Center for comprehensive security management.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow (SNOW) for IT service management and incident response.
• Experience with eMASS for managing security authorizations and compliance documentation.
• Proficient in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools to streamline security processes and reporting.
